    Well they worked... Electrolytic aren't meant to fail, but if they do they are designed to split like that to minimise collateral damage. Could mean a fault in the PSU supplying too many volts, in which case new caps may not revive, but worth trying.

    I think on most 4x4s they are significantly wider apart than on a 4-a-side headstock. The Westone here (too narrow for a change) has tuners 2" apart and my Tanglewood is 2 1/8", Fender is 1 7/8". The difference is more striking than you'd expect.

    Looks like Daphne Blue to me... but there's so much variation as sonic blue gets darker as it ages and daphne blue turns turquoise if the lacquer yellows, and they both change depending on the lighting...

    Interesting, the 'Gold Glory' has Grovers and a Seymour Duncan PUP, but then it costs £600.
