Funnily enough I was thinking about the 'mid boost/scoop remover' mod yesterday.

If You are in a prog band and play a triple-neck bass, does that mean you don't need a back up or are you three times as likely to have a failure and need three backups?

I have an Orange Terror too. It is nice to be able to fine tune your rig for different situations. Would be interested in details of the mini monza.

Could the first post be updated to include the final design measurements and specs for the drivers and crossover? I'm going cross-eyed trying to be sure I have the final spec.

Interesting. I've been wondering about a 1x10 to go with my Elf, specifically for rehearsals. The GR bass would make sense but is ££££, as would Barefaced 110 but £££. The TE Elf 1 x10 looks decent but is 8R and my experience of the 2x8 'in store' was very underwhelming. There's the Warwick 104 pro but it's almost as heavy as my AT212... So where do I get more details of the Monza? And just in case I suddenly find lots of time on my hands, is it detailed as a self build like the 1x12 designs? Doh! Just re-read and found the link.

A year ago I paid just over £40 for a TGI powerbox. Powered by an off-board wall wart, has one 18V, two 12V and multiple low and high current 9V isolated outputs and includes a 9V reverse polarity lead. Appears noiseless to me. Brilliant little bit of kit, even if it isn't from a big name.

Ok... been chatting to a fellow BC'r whose been rallying bassists in South Wales on Facebook. We plan to meet soon and discuss the practicalities of a Welsh bash.

Back at the Two Brewers on Saturday. Pub that likes it blues rock. Numbers were down with the heat and competition from Man City, but a great reception and much praise from punters although we felt we were a bit ragged. One fun bit where Alex ended radar love early just before the various runs... so I ended up doing them as a mini solo 🤣 and then the guys (thankfully) came back in.

Once at a gig I decided to experiment with detuning and retuning during a song. To my amazement I got away with it. Victor Wooten would have been proud*. *Actually he would probably have been rofling or hiding his head in his hands...

You can play a gig naked, but not without a bass.

Two. I would never forgive myself if I had an equipment failure and no spare (also take an Elf as a backup amp). But I turn this into an opportunity and swap basses at the interval if there is one. I also take different basses to gigs/rehearsals as the fun in having a collection is using them. Still a bit shy of using my fivers live. Instinctively they don't really suit blues but they can be fun. Just a thought, yesterday I took a Jazz, but also took my Epiphone Embassy as the venue has horribly noisy lighting and a humbucker equipped bass would mean more tonal options (jazz has to stay both pups on full) but in the end were in the shelter in the beer garden which is electrically 'quiet'.

They seem to have got this dialled at the moment. My AV II is so snug it needs the neck bolts tightening to snug it into the pocket, but only to normal tightness.

This evening a covered outdoor... and landlord promises no rain 🙄 .... but will there be a riot when they switch the champions league final off?

Sorry this isn't vintage, but I thought it might be of interest that Fender were giving attention to neck (and pocket) marks in 2022, perhaps a little too enthusiastically?

My partner sells small items, mostly custom made or assembled to order, via etsy, ebay and Facebook. She sets aside time every working day to process every order and keep stock availability accurate. She aims to despatch every order by the next post day. I reckon she probably ships more parcels than BD by quite a margin. If she was to screw up, it would hurt her seller ratings badly. Running an e-shop should make these things easy, but only if you are conscientious about keeping on top.
