  1. It's used for the FX loop output (and the DI and to drive the main amp, I expect). The Clean setting is clear as a bell, so I can see no reason for fitting two 12AT7s. I should have mentioned it is incredibly loud, and I didn't even get the master volume up to 12 o'clock (gain about 3 o'clock).
  2. I can only report what Orange claim, I haven't heard this version. If you read the article linked in the OP it will become clear(er).
  3. To be really precise, the length of a day is gradually getting longer, so years are 'getting longer', if you count days (although barely changing in terms of seconds).
  4. Now I have the Bass Terror I only need chorus, tuner and perhaps HPF and compressor.
  5. Mk. II is 1 off 12AAX7 and i1 off 12AT7. In Mk. II you also need to remove metal covers from each valve. Orange say preamp valves last longer than output val;ves but no other informnation!
  6. It's being marketed as a 'studio amp'.
  7. Made all the more sinister by the human entrails hanging from Paul's mouth...
  8. Is there a 'preferred' hotel or pub in Uttoxeter for anyone doing an overnight?
  9. Well was able to unwind the amp/cab combination tonight. Two rehearsals with two bands in a week, and loads of positive comments on the sound.
  10. It's a Glenn Hughes signature model.
  11. To get my sex on fire, all I have to do is make my burritos with ghost chilli sauce.
  12. I am pretty sure a mashup of Mr Wendel and Steppenwolf (song not band) would work. He walks alone in the gaslamp shadows Dressed somberly as a man. Mr Wendel.
  13. The obvious answers are: Taper the spacer, unlikely to work even if the pickup to neck distance is large and only one pickup. Pad out neck pocket. Cut body in half cross-wise and have a step in its shape. Use different pickup. Use different neck. Pickup cover.
  14. A mate tried to sell me an 8x10 earlier. I said 'I have a 2x12 that's probably louder than the 8x10." 🤣
  15. I'm sure this is true. I use thumb placement to change my tone, and I can get as much variation between bridge and bottom of the neck as between pickups.
  16. On the E-string the movement is almost perfectly cancelled out by the change in intonation. Personally, I think it's a mistake to assume different is better.
  17. That makes me feel all squidgy inside, like a teenage me talking to a girl...
  18. LOL! I've got jack sockets from the 70s somewhere that use that sort of contact arrangement. I would be surprised if they weren't 10-20 years old when I got them.
  19. Photoshop.
  20. I've got the AT212 slim, it's incredible. That's why if I get another small cab it's ideally REALLY small.
  21. Got to be red 🙂 Plus in this era of 24 hour rather than 28 day delivery I fancy the idea of delayed gratification. The alternative is a custom green GR AT110, which would cost twice as much, but is a zero risk option.
  22. But it isn't black... 🙂 For £18 I've ordered one to see how it turns out.
  23. And look at this for a no-name Bitsa with great sound... Look at that professionally finished control plate!
  24. Your Google-Fu is weak. Try searching 'Henry Thomas Bass'. https://www.mizarolli.net/bass-lessons.html It's a terrible website, but the Henry Thomas page has his email 'prominently displayed', shall we say 🙂
