When tuning a bass always tune UP not DOWN to a note. If tuning a bass with string retainers, gently press down on the D and G strings between nut and retainer after each adjustment and before checking it.

Some won't have heard this... Bend your strings at 90 degrees before cutting to length to remove the risk of the windings unravelling.

Nylon, which absorbs permanent marker really well and it doesn't come off. Would be a poor application for teflon.

No longer either of those I'm afraid! It's very decorated and I use lots of fingers now 🙂 I am tempted to strip it back and wrap it in Carbon Fibre viny - but it's a bit fo an awkward shape.

Back in the day I twice took it and my Fender Performer along to a recording studio. Both times sound engineer thought it was active beacuse of the huge output and insisted I used the Hohner over the performer. My first band in 1987, through a borrowed amp and my 15" speaker cab. Ignore fretless, I soon switch to thw B2:

I think at least five for six folks have missed this bit! I suspect gear lists are not essential other than for whetting appetites, but the organisers will need an idea of numbers and going through 20 pages counting up the 'I'll come' posts and deducting the 'I'm not coming now' ones, after carefully checking to see if there are any a duplicates or cancels which weren't actually booked could be something of a Herculean task 🙂
