  1. Make sure he gets physio as soon in the process as possible and if they offer an operation take it. Also for a musician, they should be setting it at an angle which will give him enough movement to be able to play, even if he loses quite a bit of motion. My wife broke her wrist 18 months ago and it still isn't and won't ever be right ๐Ÿ˜ž after a month or so they said 'this really should have been operated on straight away'... She'll never play the piano again (not that she could before...)
  2. Great to see a chair that looks fun - I'd be worried all the other kids will want a go. Back in the 70s when I was in the scouts one of the lads had SB, he got around on crutches and never missed out on anything other than the most physical of activities (like football) he was good at sailing and canoeing and no one cut him any slack. With modern treatment I'm sure things will go great for Iris. ๐Ÿ™‚
  3. Plagued by pesky paedo-cave divers organising stage invasions?
  4. And this epic...
  5. I bought a Chinese scratchplate for less than a fiver and its the twin of that - and perfect hole for hole fit on my Maya. I'm not suggesting that beauty is anything other than original!
  6. Some cringy choices here, from '87'88 ๐Ÿ™‚
  7. A South Efrican tribute.
  8. There was the wonderful Peter Singh " I don't smoke dope, I don't drink bourbon, all I want to do is shake my turban", now retired.
  9. What do you get if you cross Tolkien with Crazy Horse? A well-read Indian.
  10. The only American band I've ever felt were 'punk' were the MC5 and New York Dolls, well possibly the Stooges as well... Not that I have anything against the Ramones, but they did a ballad with a string quartet on it, for goodness sake! <ducks>
  11. Crocus - cult of personality. How many members of Crocus can you name... I suppose Sparks were classified as neofascist on the grounds of Rob Mael's Charlie Chaplin moustache?
  12. All very different in sound and feel. If I had more one would be an electro acoustic (probably an Epiphone Masterbilt) and maybe a Hofner violin bass. My old Hohner Jazz was OK too.
  13. Thanks, |I'll factor that into the ever-increasing pile! It seems no two people play the verses exactly the same, so I'll concentrate on being in tune and in time!
  14. The UK has "God" and "The Prince of Darkness" who trump earthly rulers:-)
  15. Got an amazing autumn lined up now: Saxon, Black Star Riders, Girlschool Hawkwind 50th anniversary (on my birthday ๐Ÿ™‚ ) Phil Campbell and his illegitimate babies Plus my one brother's band, Stonehouse, are going up to Scotland to play at my other brother's wife's 60th.
  16. Is it only me who feels slightly uncomfortable about the Warwick top horn? ๐Ÿ˜ˆ
  17. Oh no! Not the total perspective vortex....
  18. One of my brothers was Angus in a band that had the iterations TNT and High Voltage (originality of names is not a strong suite for AC/DC tributes...) Sadly I don't have a pic of him in uniform.
  19. Didn't you just love it when R1 DJ's had to introduce music they hated ๐Ÿ™‚
  20. UFO are everything Def Leppard should have been.
  21. When I saw the Bootleg Beatles it was far nearer to the Beatles than now is to the Bootleg Beatles...
  22. No! NO! Not the Comfy Chair!
  23. Interesting comments folks ๐Ÿ™‚
  24. A lot of carefully argued points of view. But the UK has Hawkwind. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
