  1. I've probably already said this, but I keep mine in the car as backup but have gigged it in a small venue to 'prove it' and rehearsed with it.
  2. So sad to lose Norm, please pass on condolences from us - Neil and Dianne.
  3. We had a three-sunday-in-a-row residency. A combination of weather and no students saw us playing to handfuls of people. We still got paid, the bar staff loved us, as did the small quota of punters (several of them bought merch!) Can't have blamed us as on their recommendation we got booked at another branch of the chain and played to an almost full room.
  4. I set up all my own basses, most of them have recut nuts. I like a low action. But when the action in the shop is around 6mm at the 12th fret you can't make any sort of connection.
  5. FWIW I tried out a brand new Aerodyne (MIJ) with an eye to purchase, but the setup was horrible and I couldn't bond with it. OTOH my Squier 40th P (MIC) was set up to (near) perfection.
  6. Shouldn't be an issue with uneven spacing as the end holes ought to be ok and its probably just careless setup. I agree that overall bridge alignment out by more than one or two threads is likely problematic.
  7. Demand led pricing... if too many of us went for the same deal it would fade away.
  8. I need to progress negotiations. Best day of the week? Saturday?
  9. Hope things continue to progress well Telebass
  10. Well spotted. Bought a set of the nefium gauge rotos I use ony Performer at 46% off, and my favourite Fender 7250 nickels.
  11. Threaded saddle pieces so easy fix.
  12. In fairness that's a misaligned pickup not bridge. 😂 Other examples seem to be much worse.
  13. The new gold foil jazz seems to come with a misplaced bridge as standard. Is QC taking a hit?
  14. Was only £59 when I saw it. I have a very similar but rather battleworn one.
  15. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/266109807294?hash=item3df5616abe:g:PGQAAOSwP-dj2Rw3&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAoNlO92TSbtEehoERoH2aV3t1k2gii%2FdATYMPri%2BM0t4zGBx1QCd7fFIspyJto1IK0%2FPVIdk8ieYIY82Vun%2BGvExVeZd0EoUy%2BAcgCk4Y44Vk6RVEM8g0hTWBNtvKXUfkRQE8NyoscsiQlj6ovSe2nPCtFYOxiU%2B1P0llP%2B%2Bq%2Ba%2BCBu458gsryX9lyc1l0y69xy1DQqam6Rm4TUEDZlQcHgc%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR57lztXDYQ
  16. I enjoy the physicality of playing with my fingers, particularly the way I can use fingers an thumb to mute and make different effects I vould never do with a pick. Pick suits some styles and songs though.
  17. Played through one of those at last night's jam. Plenty of 'heft' 😁
