As someone who has had no trouble finding bands at ~60: Find your local music scene and speak to people, and jam when you can. Don't be afraid to use social media. Don't be too precious about what you will or won't play, especially at first, a band needs to get a couple of sets together to get gigging and start building a reputation, once that's done you can refine your offering.

Open mikes and drop in to local music shops just like in the old days. Gobto gigs and talk to people especially the bands (when they are not busyn but you know that). Get known as a musician.

I have a TGI unit for about £40 you get 18v, 12v, 1 amp 9v and several isolated lower amperage 9v outputs, and a wall wart and cables including a positive earth changer.

The round tops suit momentary switches being used as limit switches i.e. operated by something like a door or moving plate which may approach at a slight angle. This may be why the small, rounded style is associated with them.

My understanding is that you use the same notation for the major key and its relative minor. Minor chords are denoted with an 'm' e.g. VIm would be Am in C.

Is there a visible difference? My PA amp has 4-pole outputs but I can't see any obvious difference (maybe this just means my bass amps/cabs are 4-pole as you suggest).

Run it around the bridge and the end of the neck. At the bridge round the corners, at the neck follow the profile if the edges of the body.

Me too. They failed whole generations who could have benefited from a bit of instruction and encouragement. The jokes on them as I never suffered being in a choir, and get to play being a rock star at weekends 😁

The four pin ones are used for things like bi-amping. Haven't come across a bass cab or amp with a four pin speakon socket yet.
