SOLD Peavey Fury Bass - Sunburst - £160 collected - Pics Now Up!

Hi - putting my Peavey Fury up for sale that I bought on here a while ago. If you don't know the Fury it's basically a Precision with a really comfy Jazz-width neck & a nice hot pickup. It's in pretty good condition - could do with a set up & there's a hairline crack near the jack, which was there when I bought it. Really nice bass - selling it as I only really play short scale basses these days. Looking for £160 cash & collected from Newcastle. Would consider a trade with cash either way for a short scale bass. Cheers! Hi - reluctantly selling my beautiful medium (32") scale white Aerodyne Jazz Bass. Imported it myself from Ishibashi a while ago & it's a Crafted In Japan non-export model, so a bit rare over here. It's basically everything you'd expect from a Japanese Fender, but slightly downsized. Like other Aerodynes, it has a basswood body with a curved / bound top, maple / rosewood neck & came as standard with a pair of Dimarzio pickups, which look a lot like Ultra Jazzes. Currently strung with D'Addario nickel rounds. I think this one was an ex-demo model, as it arrived with a Fender gigbag & the manual (in Japanese!). It hasn't seen much wear & the only significant ding is on the bottom of the bass (see pictures), which was there when I bought it. Hi - my Westone Concord I is up for sale. It's around 30 years old & if you've never heard of them, they were made in the Matsomoku factory in Japan alongside Arias & Washburns at the time. The Concord was a budget model, but was made of decent materials - the body is alder & the medium scale (32.5") neck is two piece maple with a beautiful flame in it. Pickup is a Dimarzio-style Precision & is pretty powerful! Since I had it I swapped out the bridge for a Gotoh copy, had a black scratchplate made & had the headstock painted for a custom decal that I never applied. Just restrung it with D'Addario nickel rounds & given it a set up. Reluctant sale, but it's not being used & deserves to be played...
Excuse my ignorance but does medium scale mean that it's shorter than something like a jazz or a precision?
Yes - it's 32.5" scale rather than the Fender 34" standard (short scale usually means around 30"). I discovered medium scales a while ago & that's all I play now - I find them much more comfy on the left hand. If you want a rough idea of what a medium scale is like, tune a standard bass a semitone down & put a capo on the first fret. Everything's just that bit easier to reach!
Sorry you didn't get on with it B - fine little bass and I had quite a bit of interest in it so it shouldn't hang around for too long. For anyone considering this bass Benebass is great to do business with.
Thanks for the kind words Mykesbass - much appreciated!

Hi - my white Yamaha RBX4A2M with a rare medium scale (32.5") neck is up for sale. I'd describe it as a modern take on a Jazz & it's it's incredibly light compared to most other basses I've had. The bass is completely passive, but takes a battery for the light-up controls if that's your thing (leave the battery out & it works fine with no lights). Condition is very good - a couple of minor dings on the back, but everything else is fine. Really nice low action & punchy sound too - the shorter neck makes playing a breeze & it doesn't have that loss of tone that some shorter scales suffer from. I'm looking for £180 cash / collected in Newcastle upon Tyne. Will ship for £200 but will have to take the neck off to do it as there's no hard case (that's how it was sent to me & it was no problem - just needed to screw the neck on & restring).
