  1. Ady's a top man to deal with . Buy with confidence
  2. Sorry to hear this Ray . A lot of stuff is slow moving ,due to cost of living crisis etc . I have sold a few basses and things on Basschat ,with no issues at all . Selling things like vinyl records though, I found fleabay the best . I don't do farcebook, or bumtree, and haven't really heard any positives about selling stuff on those platforms . Others may not concour , but it's just my experiences. I had 2 basses for sale last year on Basschat . When I decided to hold onto them , I then got a couple of enquiries . The only thing I'd be wary of on Basschat , is if there is an enquiry from someone that's had hardly any posts . That' could be me very extra careful though . Best of luck,on your journey also .
  3. Good job I don't do Facebook . I wonder what the link contains 🤔
  4. Tears for queers, Frankie says relapse ,bananadrama, Frankie goes to Cricklewood
  5. Sorry to hear this .
  6. Mmm.. 2 weeks . On the plus side at least they made a decision , without dragging it out . They had to inspect it after being returned etc. . Hopefully not too long to wait .
  7. 7 different type of Mooer synth tones . Individual arpeggiator for each tone . 7 slots for storing users presets, Firmware upgradeable via usb.All this in the size of two fingers . No fighting cat sounds in this unit 🐈‍⬛🐈 Price includes postage . Not sure about trades . I used it for bass . Not used much, hence the condition. Boxed with all the candy. These go for about £90 new. As I have synths , I'm not using as much as I should . I may keep it . . It deserves to have Mooer use. Prefer ordinary PayPal payment .
  8. Not much different from their earlier budget effects units imho . The looper is a nice touch . The synth sounds like fighting cats 🐈🐈‍⬛ . ,which is fairly common in budget effects units. Not for me but after seeing the vids , I may get out my toneport ux1 with the line 6 monkey🐒. Cost of living crisis etc.so cash saved ..for now . What would imho be a wimner for line6, is if they could sell an effects box with all the settings from the Variax Bass .
  9. Someone will probably explain it better ; DI ( Direct input ) is where you have a cable going from your amp ( if it has a DI socket) into an audio mixer. Some multi effects units have a DI socket , which means that in theory you could plug the cable from your multi effects unit into the audio mixer directly without bringing your amp to gigs / rehearsals . Also, if you did use the multi effects unit , there is a button on the unit giving you the option of ' straight bass ' without effects if you prefer. DAW , is digital audio workstation . This is a device where you plug your instrument into it which allows you to record onto your computer
  10. I assume you'll get the refund at some stage . Fingers crossed for you , that you haven't too long to wait . life and the cost of living crisis , does have a tendency to affect and annoy us at the wrong times unfortunately . Having said that , it's a temporary blip for now and you'll carry on your synth journey before you know it . Keep us updated .
  11. Top seller ! I don't need it unfortunately . Have a bump 🙂
  12. Was this recorded on a farm ? 🐄🙂
  13. Just wondering ; which is better out of the Minitaur ,and the Toro ? Is there much in it ? 🤔 I'd guess that the Toro would be better in a band situation . I have the Minitaur, and don't really think I need another Moog type bass synth . The Toro does look good though . I decided not to purchase the Moog Marianne app , as I think too much Moog bass is a bit overkill .
  14. I purchased that Hank Mizell single back in the '70s Along with spinning rocjk boogie by Hank C Burnett . ( Bernett?) I don't know the story of those . I thought they were just retro singles , or whatever the term would be . 🙂
  15. Wow! I thought that Nad would be a little more upmarket for curry's . That's a surprise .
  16. I used to go to Alaska studios a lot , back in the '90s . Used to like it there . The pub next door was handy . We used to take trays of drinks into the rehearsals .🙂
  17. Myself and mr drums , decided to keep the covers band we had alive and audition for guitarist and vocalist . We ended up with 2 guitarists . All good . Things going well . We then had a few people lined up for auditions for vocalist . Warning ; possible cultural misrepresentation .. First ' vocalist ' arrives . Mmm.... not our age group. A lot younger . He was Asian . No problem . However, he was trying too hard to assert himself on us at the earliest opportunity. He wasn't relaxed at all, and was saying 'I'm gonna make it ' among other things in his broken English . He named 2 songs from the list we gave him in advance . Obvious he didn't learn any of them . He was very hyper , while treating our band like X factor or the equivalent . so, we asked him to accompany us on ' American idiot ' and 'Teenage Kicks '. That's where the fun started . I say fun , but it was like having Benny Hills mr. Chow mein character with us . We were having great difficulty restraining ourselves with bloated faces about to collapse at any minute . We did turn around at various stages to cackle / cry with laughter hoping not to be seen . Amerrrrican irrriot , and heenage kiss never sounded so bad . Thankfully the last person we saw on that day was our new front man .
  18. With my 40th birthday gig approaching , tragedy struck as our drummer had to unfortunately pull out ,with very little time to get replacement before the gig in question . Invites sent out etc. At the same period in time , I was leaving my place of employment . A very large organisation , spread over many floors . A sales person who vaguely knew of me , heard about my predicament and volunteeered to come to the audition. . The audition was one of the strangest I've ever encountered . I have a lot of respect for drummers obviously , and good ones are hard to find in my experience . Anyaway , the guy was a miserable , arrogant and untalented tool ! He was calling all the shots as to the way he plays . He put on his gloves . ( yes really ) . He then said ,"I only play standing up!" He p@ssed everyone off with his miserable attitude . Of course my mates / band members were asking where I got him from , who is that tw@t etc. When I phoned the ' drummer' to break the news that the original drummer could make it after all , ( my excuse) the 'drummer' was shouting and snapping at me knowing I was lying . That was painful . The other guy we auditioned was a great laugh, a nice guy ...but obsesssed with sex and Thailand . He had a big house in a desirable area, a nice wife and children, big salary etc . However, he had sex with someone in Thailand and wasn't sure if he caught something . Eventually , the wife was told . Game over ! His dad used to run a brothel in the midlands . He eventually married a Thai bride , and imported family members . He played a gig for the guitarists birthday( same lineup) , which he decided to get drunk before we took to the stage . Playing Black Sabbaths Paranoind faster than the stormtroopers of death , wasn't ideal . Shouting at him to slow down fell on deaf ears. He messed up ufo Rock bottom , which is the fist time I attempted it . I was nervous about doing that , but the guitarist insisted we do it as we both love schenker / ufo etc. He was upset . Bizarrely we got approached for wedding gigs , abd others . I may mention the audition for a vocalist , later in the thread 🙂
  19. Sorry to hear .That's annoying . Hopefully you'll get a smooth transaction and refund pronto. I haven't dealt with Bax ,but hopefully no problems . Do you think you'll get another ( funds permitting ) , or something similar?
  20. Oops ! I thought you said spam fritters . Tired eyes 😬
