  1. Coffee ☕️table back in spare bedroom . It was bugging me this morning 🐞 I'd say that the only real way to have the setup that woukd work in the living room , woukd be for me to have a moog sound studio which would fit on the display unit. only one mains adapter which is a plus . . A new Mac mini would be possible as mentioned earlier.. However , I already have the grandmother and dfam so that would be pointless . still , it was worth a try .
  2. I think tomorrow will be a busy day cleaning carpet , and picking up the spaghetti cables everywhere also 😺
  3. Good points ,and thanks for them . Thread deleted as I need to stop procrastinating 🙂
  4. I've purchased a few things from them over the years . Always good . Always helpful .
  5. Mmm...🤔.more chad valley or fisher price quality imho . I don't think I could buy in confidence it has to be said .
  6. Maybe the drummer could buy her a moog for Christmas , and she could learn that . 🤫 otherwise ..' no !'
  7. It's not just me then 🙂. Something to focus on next year ..
  8. I keep biting my fingernails to the bare minimum . A bad habit that I'll have to stop in the new year 😬
  9. Dings / dents / at back of the neck would probably affect resale value imho . That's assuming you may want to sell in the future . You never know . On a slight tangent , I've seen a few reviews of Ibanez basses with similar necks ( the headless basses in particular) where reviewers such as Low End Lobster 🦞 weren't overly impressed with Ibanez quality control . Apparently , they're mainly manufactured in the Cort factory among other brands but iI stand to be corrected . i think you did the right thing returning it due to description , but the bigger discount seems to be evident now due to ' imperfections'. The fingerboard you could possibly live with, but the neck issue would be nagging away at you over time .
  10. Silly me , he used to endorse ovation magnums 😬
  11. Have a bump for my favourite colour of this range of basses 😼
  12. Yes! A lot of fun with multi fx . Will keep him occupied I'd say
  13. Mmm... this could run and run . Queensryche = iron maiden / Judas Priest . Airforce = Ac/DC .
  14. Sorry to hear of your situation . Nice bass . I assume you've thought of many various possible ways of pain relief etc. Have you tried acupuncture ? Also , I notice that you have ( or had ) various bits of synth equipment . Maybe you could keep this bass for minimal home use , and use synths more ? Just a thought Anyway, Glwts
  15. Anyway , regarding potential tragedy regarding my back ; I went to a gig at the Brixton Academy back in the '90s with a work associate . He decided he wanted to go to Tower Records in Piccadilly . Fair enough. We had a skinful . On going down some concrete steps on the way out , I slipped ! I didn't fall forward , as I was trying to not to look too inebriated , 🤦🤦so my back hit a few steps . Yes, I was in agony, and it was in the solar plexus area . I was very lucky . I struggled into work next day . Having to move around like John Wayne for a few days was painful and problematic obviously . As I say, I was lucky . Those of you who have bad backs have my sympathies.
  16. But but ..it was like that from new . 😬
  17. No! It was the castors trying to contain the excessive weight I put on . The sound of tortured mice was off-putting 😬
  18. I was lucky to see him promoting the Rush film at the haymarket . He is a very good speaker , and you'll enjoy the Barbican 😼👍
  19. Thanks for understanding Dad😼👍. Hope all is well with you . As you're the drummer, you are allowed to be the most knackered after a gig 😺
  20. Totally agree with yoga and Pilates . From 2004-2006 I was seeing a personal trainer ( costly and a struggle financially ) who gave me a yoga/ Pilates weekly session , plus weights and some boxer size . Session was once weekly, and I used the gym 3-4 times a week . The feeling after each PT session was fantastic . The only issue was having to go back to the office / band practice/ commute home. Feeling relaxed and rejuvenated is an understatement . When my job was made redundant , I purchased a Pilates reformer ..big mistake ! Only because it was too big and awkward for my previous abode . 😬. Very noisy too . Having said that , I gave it to my builder for his missus when I moved home , and he gave me a discount here and there . There are places with reformers ,and they be worth trying out . Lots of stuff on YouTube these days.
