1.
What time are Prescott onstage Kev? I have a late one at work that day so it might not be possible but would like to come along if I can
Hi Clarky The gig has a scheduled 6.30 start and has to end by 9pm so I'm pretty sure we'll probbly go on between 6.30 -7pm. It'll be nice to see you

3.
Will download and enjoy. You're up there with the great fretless stylists in my book. Thanks, N
Thanks. Please note there is no bass guitar on this record, though!
4.
I really appreciate what you are doing, SB. Always interesting and provocative.
Very kind of you, Bilbo.
5. http://linearobsessional.bandcamp.com/album/tonka-beano 'A stunning new collection of intricate and gently astonishing purely electronic works by Kev Hopper (Stump, Ticklish, Prescott). The tracks are wildly evocative and mark Kev's re-engagement with the endless possibilities and complexities of Reaktor software. Download will come with a PDF booklet of notes and will also be available in a hyper limited physical edition.'

7. I didn't realise there was so much involved in achieving that sound. Quite surprised. I agree with others that its more a of a hybrid sound - but a good one at that.
8. Hmm interesting designs from this company including this:
9. Impressive http://youtu.be/gDVEP4kX-Bs
10. You can always expect hesitation but I think the best way to find out if someone is serious or not is to give then your phone number. If they are serious they will call. On the whole, my experience has been pretty good selling stuff here.
11. I will be there on Saturday. I can only stand about 3 hours maximum. I'll probably be there 11-12ish. looking forward to meeting a few of you...
12. Yep, I write songs but don't play them live. I prefer to stick to instrumental material for live shows as I write songs for other singers. Here is a trailer for my last album of songs from last year: http://youtu.be/mrFKu3pMM0w
13. I have a Wal under my bed. I'm sick of it. It's not coming out for the foreseeable. Stupid fretless bass...
14. Great control and technique. Super stuff.
15.
Hmmmm .....
Warbling and chorusing. Hmm.
16. Nice piece of music with an interesting harmony/chord progression.
17.
I remember telling one basschatter a few months ago that I'd head to one of his gigs only to be asked the night before if I could work down in Grimsby that night.
A gig or a fish-filleting in Grimsby? Difficult decision.
18.
In fact, IIRCC I PM'd you about a gig, but you didn't reply.
Really? I Didn't see that. Another punter lost...
19. Basschatters: if you go to another Basschatter's gig stand up and introduce yourself. Or wear a red carnation at least.
20.
They are all too busy worrying about their tone.
21.
or we're all too busy gigging ourselves?
I doubt it.
22.
I always have a look. If i go to a gig i hardly ever talk to the band so how would you know if they went or not?
You've got me thinking now...
23. Just thought I'd ask because my band did about 10 gigs towards the end of last year and I posted them all up in the gig section. I didn't get a single Basschatter coming... along even though I got plenty of interest and nice comments when people viewed the videos in other threads. Anecdotal, I know. I'm cheerfully assuming I'm making deeply unpalatable music and you're unlikely to come along anway. I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt but... There's a lot of chat/threads here about what was on Jools Holland's show last night and TV shows in general but not a lot about gigs. And there's also a lot of moaning about poorly attended gigs and the punters who seem incapable of getting off their arses and leaving the house to go and see live music - and lot of speculation as to why that might be (because they used to be there) etc. Could it be you're all watching telly instead, you lazy bunch of feckers...? I'm just guessing.
24. WestkingMusic Live present...an evening of instrumental trios... Following their sold out album launch in December, A Sweet Niche shall be playing their Eye Music II right into your ears. And your eyes. Too. Baritone Sax, Guitar and drums. They are rather good. Prescott are also rather good. They are Rhodri Marsden (Scritti Politti), Kev Hopper (Stump) and Frank Byng. Cyclic wonderment. Please note: early start times: 6.30pm
25. It's an 'it'. Always has been.
