  1. https://youtu.be/kuATlRNAyXs When I first started playing bass in the late 70's and early 80's loads of people had a very similar sound to this. Nice and clean, played with a pick. Maybe I'm getting old and nostalgic but I tend to prefer it it to the soft, finger-style sound you're more likely to hear these days.

  6. If you have Logic Pro you can do this with arpegiator. Just choose from the presents and drop the octave if necessary. Simple.

  11. The reissue is about £800 as is the Hofner model mentioned earlier on in the thread. Quite expensive, IMO. I don't know what the originals go for.
