1. Looks like fun! Anybody able to put names to faces in the pics?
2. I was thinking of ordering a cab from them but now I'm not so sure.
3. ...but the track is great. It's not the sort of music that I would listen to the bass player particularly, anyway. I honestly can't hear what's wrong with it.
4.
The double bass. It's too bulky, doesn't stay in tune and needs to be amplified.
+1
5. The fret work would be the ultra-scary bit for me. How did you get on with it?
6.

Woah,
7.

Christ, this would put anyone off buying an Ibanez....
8. They look well tasty - a cross between CT and AV basses. I like this model:
9. Anyone got this yet?
10.
I don't think I could pull the trigger without hearing one - SRs seem to have quite a unique tone and I'm not sure I like it. I wonder how much of that is down to the body shape or if its the electronics.
It surely must be due to the electronics...?
11. Peavey Millennium BXP - sensational bass for the money. £100 -120 secondhand. £150 - £170 new
12.
I picked up the Limited edition SR2010ASC and have to say I'm very happy with how comfy the body shape is. The SR series certainly got that right! Compared to other SR's as well the sound is far more rounded with leas metallic zing. The 'Ashula' preamp and 'Sonic Arch Pickups' seem to be a huge step forward in sound. I really hope they start to use this electronics package in future SR's... It would seem a waste for such a great sounding circuit to die with a limited run bass
That's exactly what I'm hoping for too. Those new pickups sound fab on the clips and don't seem to have that horrible Ibanez zing. I'm sure if they install those in the SRs and rethink the dated logo (which makes all the basses look the same) they'll convince more people.
13. That's how to do a webpage. Very colourful on a white background. Never played a Shuker. What are they like?
14. You could start with this: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=110101
15.
I'm afraid I've never been an Ibby fan.......until now, when I took delivery (today) of a 30 year old Roadster. John
They're terrific basses. Was that from the kindly vmaxblues, by any chance? Congratulations if that's the case
16. I wonder if they saw my bass? The lower horn thing on that new Ibanez looks like a good idea but you never know till you try it.
17.
Hideous. Probably very comfortable, but... yuck.
18. The new 2010 model looks like my kind of thing:
19. Great looking bass. Never heard of those before.
20. terrific stuff
21.
* An inability to recognise that different values and approaches can happily co-exist in a spirit of compromise is intellectually unsustainable and is more illuminative of the general mind-set of the debater than it is of the debate.
Exactly. We British like amateurs. Winston Churchill and Chris Squire are good examples.
22.
You could grind down and dress all the frets to achieve lower, depends how inclined your are to take ages over something.
It's not something I would feel confident attempting personally.
