  1. I didn't mind it at first, but I've heard it so much recently that I'm thoroughly sick of it.
  2. Isn't that the song that Pink Floyd have done recently?
  3. I remember the cereal cafe and the crisp sandwich cafe, but this takes things to a whole different level.
  4. Please put your bass in its case, take it to the nearest music shop and leave it there. It will be rehoused with a loving owner. Thank you. πŸ˜„
  5. I usually ignore it until the voting. Most of the music is so dire, I couldn't tolerate it. The voting amuses me though.
  6. You've got a tent?! You lucky, lucky bas...πŸ˜‚
  7. That was my first thought. I remember them coming out, not long after I started playing. I would have loved one.
  8. That's me in my profile pic. I'm not saying just how long ago it was, but you could probably hazard a guess from the decor πŸ˜†
  9. When I was at school, that was how I played. I could actually play reasonably well and was good at picking up a tune by ear, but the teacher made me play with my left hand at the top and I struggled.
  10. I bought a Presonus Audiobox 96 from @tobiewharton. He kept me up to date with posting details and the item has just arrived, well packaged and on time. It was posted on Friday, so got here quickly. I would happily recommend Tobie if anyone is considering buying or selling. Gary
  11. Not bass related, but I put my daughter's old bike up for sale on Marketplace, yesterday. Shortly after I got a message asking if it was available. The person had an eastern European name, but as there is a large Polish community in the area this didn't concern me. However, he then asked if he could send a CTT postman with cash to collect the bike and then send it to his home. If it hadn't been for seeing similar tactics described in this thread, I might have gone along with it. I checked the profile and he is in Poland. I can't see how it could be financially viable to buy an Β£80 kid's bike in Belfast and ship it to Poland.
  12. I'm guessing JD and the Smiths, so definitely complimentary. No insult meant either way.
  13. In that first photo you all look like an amalgam of Joy Division (guitarist left), Big Country (guitarist centre) and The Smiths (Bassist) πŸ˜„
  14. Is the answer, when you look at a piece of wood and think that it would make a nice bass, but the piece of wood is the underside of your coffin lid?
  15. I like it too, though when he starts singing on the first song, I could have sworn he sang "I'm in a dandruff mood" πŸ˜†
  16. I've only owned the one bass since I started playing 30 years ago, but I'm only a bedroom player and there was a lot of that time where I didn't play at all. I also have one acoustic guitar and one electric guitar.
  17. Purely a bedroom warrior, but I've started playing electric guitar too, so if I can get anyway half decent at that I might record myself at home.
  18. I've only just come across this. Excellent work.
  19. Nice one! I was amazed at the quality when it arrived. Obviously it's not going to be as good as a guitar costing four or five times more, but the neck is nice and smooth, the tuners work. The neck relief seemed o be spot on, as did the intonation. Action looks ok too.
  20. Just arrived today. I'm no guitarist by any stretch of the imagination, but thought I'd treat myself.
