  1. @tobiewharton If this is still available, I'd be interested.
  2. I've only owned the one bass since I started playing 30 years ago, but I'm only a bedroom player and there was a lot of that time where I didn't play at all. I also have one acoustic guitar and one electric guitar.
  3. Purely a bedroom warrior, but I've started playing electric guitar too, so if I can get anyway half decent at that I might record myself at home.
  4. I've only just come across this. Excellent work.
  5. Nice one! I was amazed at the quality when it arrived. Obviously it's not going to be as good as a guitar costing four or five times more, but the neck is nice and smooth, the tuners work. The neck relief seemed o be spot on, as did the intonation. Action looks ok too.
  6. Just arrived today. I'm no guitarist by any stretch of the imagination, but thought I'd treat myself.
  7. Looks terrible. I really doubt that Lydon et al would have spoken like that. Artistic license to the max.
  8. I rather like that. I see what you mean about Curve.
  9. Way back when I first started playing bass, I was in a band with some friends. We only ever played a couple of local gigs, but one of them was a memorial concert for a young guy who had been killed in a car crash. He had been the singer with another band that we were friendly with and I always remember that Plush was one of the songs that they covered.
  10. I came here to post this. I remember buying the 12" Stiltskin single and playing the vocal version. What a massive let down that was.
  11. They do a mix of stuff. It was Fleetwood Mac a few days ago.
  12. For the Wordle fans among you, check out Heardle.
  13. Visit a medium and pay them to tell that to Kurt Cobain.
  14. I remember when I was quite young, my next door neighbour and I discovered his mum's collection of Beatles records. We would sing Love Me Do, but argue about the tune. It wasn't until many years later that I realised we were singing the different harmonies.
  15. I knew I recognised him from somewhere. I just couldn't put my finger on it.
  16. If you watch the first 5 minutes or so, skip to the car crash, then skip to the Steve Clarke alcohol bit, that's quite a good wee film. Rick Allen in the hospital bed looks a bit like Regan from "The Exorcist"😆
  17. 😆 He was based on Daniel.
  18. Many years ago I worked in a bookmaker's and the female manager would have made Lemmy sound like a soprano 😆
  19. It's also about 3 times the OP's budget
  20. I'm sure someone else will be able to give better advice than me, but I have the Rumble 25 for bedroom playing and it is more than powerful enough. The LT25 has more features than the 25, so is more expensive. It depends on whether or not he would need all those features.
  21. I think he san "Something Better Change", didn't he? Take it Hugh!
  22. That looks fantastic
  23. Has anyone else noticed how many of these stories start "I was in a band with an alcoholic drummer..."?
  24. Has anyone mentioned the Spermbirds yet "Come All Over Your Face"
