I went to see Pixies with my daughter last night. Support was a Dublin band called Sprints. I was a bit unsure at the start but they were really good and I'd recommend checking them out. Pixies were incredible! Best gig I've been to in a long time. The new bassist, Emma Richardson, did a great job.

I was just about to type that The Smiths didn't tend to have guitar solos on their songs when "What She Said" came on Spotify. Spooky! And, of course, it has a solo of sorts. 😂

I remember arguing with my friend about how to sing "Love Me Do", by The Beatles (we were very young at the time). It was only many years later that I realised we were both right, but were just singing different vocal parts 😄

I don’t buy a lot of stuff off Amazon. I do have Amazon Prime, so get the tv and films and my wife orders cat good and cat litter in bulk and she and my daughter would buy stuff from them. I do feel a little swell of hope every time I see something about an Amazon depot voting to unionize.

Hofner violin bass? Gretsch G2220 Junior Jet bass? 30" and 30.3" scales respectively.

Not all lyrics have meaning, though. Kurt Cobain said that a lot of his lyrics didn't mean anything. He liked the way the words sounded. Lou Reed did the same thing with The Black Angel's Death Song.

The thing is, the original version did have more lyrics. 2 unlimited were Dutch. They had to dumb it down for the UK market.
