Status Graphite Electro 5 string **On Hold!!** - *SOLD*

This is sooo tempting. The weight, the zero fret, the piezo and the preamp. But (because I’m a tool) it breaks my “jack sockets should be on the side” and “even though I try and play floating thumb, I need a neck pickup to anchor on at times” rules. But I’m going to give this one some thought, because it’s lovely!! -
I’ll update mine. Previous entry was the 2006 BTB Prestige on the right. My first breath-takingly brilliant bass so never getting sold. The Ibby SR fretless because - it’s sooo cool and so light and the piezo sounds ace. I must *actually* play it, though. I don’t really ‘do’ fretless, but if I sold it I’d end up buying another one, so it stays. My darling is Betsy, my 2014 Fender Dimension USA Deluxe V. I can’t put it down… it plays effortlessly, it can do any sound you can think of, and with the recently added tort plate it’s the best looking bass I’ve ever had. Fender should have sold 10,000s of these. I want another one in Root Beer with a rosewood board which I’d string with flats. Bit obsessed!!

MC6 for the win. SUCH a capable piece of kit, especially with an expression hanging off it. Love mine. If you’re conceivably going to add more source audio pedals in future then my advice would be bite the bullet and get a Neuro Hub. I started with C4 and added Aftershock and Mercury and now I can make scenes with any of those and/or continue to address the C4 using CC commands. Caveat: if you add EQ2 or Ultrawave then the Hub can’t store every parameter via Hub scenes, so the Hub would only really be giving you host for those two and you’d recall presets using CC. Though, EQ2 has a MIDI in DIN so Hub not really required at all for that one.

Nice board @prowla. As/when you get an MC6 don’t forget it needs a USB host box between the MC and the C4. Source audio neuro hub is one such box…. But happily your dmc will also do the job. Whether it can do that AND other things at the same time is unknown to me though 🙂

Very tasty! You already know the answer to your question… buy a bigger board!!

100%. We’re running 1.8 on the G to 2 on the B and it’s lovely. Have been forcing myself to a floating thumb mute rather than anchoring the thumb on the pickup which means I’m plucking softer. And if I dig in it does that delicious “raspy” thing. Especially in single coil mode. I’ve never had a bass play as well as this one! If you’re near a Peterborough Jon Haire is the optimal choice for bass setup fun!

Betsy (the Fender Dimension) is just back from the excellent Jon Haire in Peterborough. Been two years since last service, needed some fret levelling. I can do the basics but JH is the MAN. All perfectly fettled now with D’addario Nickel 50-135. I love a good setup and I love fresh strings 😍

Exactly that, completely agree. I had an EHX Big Muff Deluxe Pi and Bass Soul Food, and this has replaced them… honestly for me the Tube breakup sounds are worth it on their own - actually DO sound like a Tube amp getting nicely stuck in! I’d highly recommend going the whole hog here and adding a C4 and a Hub…. It’s NUTS what SA pedals and MIDI and expression can do!

Top marks awarded here for Source Audio Aftershock. That’s my favourite purchase recently, I can’t believe how good drive, fuzz and everything in between sounds with this thing!

Is that Keeley hand signed / prototype? They’re such amazing pedals. I LOVE mine. It just squashes according to how you set the knobs but otherwise stays out of the way of the signal path. Mine will have to be prised from cold dead hands.

And another pedal from @patrikmarky - and another great transaction, thanks!

A new 18v 2000mA centre negative power supply with (I guess the standard Boss size) 2.1mm dc jack doesn’t look to be an easy thing to find, according to a quick scan of eBay… otherwise I’d suggest buying a new PSU that’s UK specific. Hey: they’re all made in China anyway including the stock adaptors! This https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/18V-2000mA-AC-DC-Adaptor-Power-Supply-Charger-5-5mm-x-2-1mm-For-DC18V-0-5A-0-8A-/174766222090?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0 *might* do the trick but the listing doesn’t state polarity.

Whoever it was that originally posted the link to those adhesive clips on eBay needs a knighthood. Some excellent under board cable mounting action all round ever since. Applause!

Bought a pedal from @patrikmarky - very fast delivery, excellent packaging, as described. Recommended, thanks!

@Waddycall - buy it. That’s a bargain and won’t be here long. My BB2 can easily drown out drummer and two guitars but it still works great at small pub volumes. They’re amazing pieces of engineering
