  1. Up for sale is my 'Orange Terror Bass' head. In great condition & can be tested before buying. I'm selling as I've just bought an 'Orange Little Bass Thing' which I find easier to transport, it fits into my guitar bag. Was serviced by Orange last year while having the treble pot replaced (See last pic for paper work). Can be picked up and tried out from Barnwell PE8 or I can post out insured for an additional £15. Here's the website blurb from Orange: You Kept Asking for It… The Terror Bass is back and it sounds better than ever. With a valve preamp and a 500W Class D solid state power amp, the all-new Terror Bass sounds closer to our flagship AD200 than ever before. Though the circuit is completely new, the Terror Bass retains the control layout from the original amp, with the addition of a Clean switch. This reduces gain and smoothes the top-end, giving this super-simple amp an even greater range of tones than its predecessor. From clean Pop sounds through to gritty Rock crunch, the Terror Bass can do it all. There’s also a -6dB pad switch, meaning active and passive instruments are equally well catered for. The Terror bass uses a lightweight and efficient Class D power amp, with 500 watts of power into 4 Ohms and 250 Watts into 8 Ohms. Coupled with the Balanced XLR output and valve-driven FX Loop, the Terror bass is perfect for any situation, whether it’s the studio, rehearsal or a life on the road. Closely Based on the AD200 Bass Amplifier The preamp section of the Terror Bass is the same valve design as used in the flagship Orange bass amp, the AD200. Just like its all-valve bigger brother, the Terror Bass is a classic, uncomplicated amplifier, designed to give you the best tone. Class D Power Amplifier The Terror bass is a 500 Watt hybrid amplifier with a valve preamp and a Class D, solid state power section. All-analogue valve tone in a portable, compact lunchbox head. Clean Switch Drive and grit not your thing? Get a crystal clean tone at the flick of a switch. Pad for Active Basses The pad switch on the front of the Terror Bass reduces input sensitivity by 6dB, optimising the amp for active or passive basses. FX Loop The valve-driven FX loop on the Terror Bass is the perfect tool for creating your ideal signal chain. Ground Lift Eliminates any ground loop noise when using the Balanced Output. Features:SINGLE CHANNEL, HYBRID – CLASS D POWER AMP WITH VALVE PREAMP, CLEAN SWITCH, VARIABLE INPUT SENSITIVITY FOR ACTIVE OR PASSIVE BASSES, BALANCEd DI OUT, FX LOOP Controls (Right to Left):Pad Switch, Clean Switch, Gain, Bass, Middle, Treble, Volume ValvesPREAMP: 1 X ECC83 (12AX7), 1 x ECC81 (12AT7) Output Power:250 WATTS INTO 8 Ohms, 500 WATTS INTO 4 Ohms. 2. I've just received Rhys 'Orange Little Bass Thing' after buying over the weekend. Quick delivery and is like new, exactly as described and at a great price! Great comms and quick delivery, would definitely buy from again. Thanks, Tony
  3. Hi all, I'm selling my GSS Baby Sumo 600w that I bought at the end of October last year. I originally bought the Sumo to add to the end of my pedal board, but have found that I've been using my orange terror bass ll head, since having the Orange head repaired (see previous posts). and now the Baby Sumo is just sitting in it's box. It's only been gigged once and in near new condition. There is a little mark on the top front left corner, which you might just be able to see in the pictures, but I didn't notice it until I took the pictures. I have stuck dual lock adhesive pads to the bottom but it still sits on the feet, so haven't removed it as you might want to fix it to your board (or cab) too. These are great amps and you'll find plenty of glowing reviews about them, it's just not for me. Price includes postage and it comes with case, manual, power lead etc. I'll also include the paperwork. Any questions, please feel free to ask. Thanks for looking!
  4. Just to let everyone know, I finally took my amp back to Orange & it turned out that it was just a faulty treble pot! Thanks for all your input! Cheers Tony
  5. I won't even try and pretend I know what all that means! So a define trip to Orange is on the cards. Thanks everyone 👍
  6. I thought the same!
  7. Maybe I'll give that a go, thanks. I must admit when I first contacted Orange I offered to send it to them, even offered to run it down to their factory in Borehamwood, but it fell on deaf ears 😑
  8. My first action was to email Orange and they gave me a guys details but he was miles away. I'm in Barnwell, about 16 miles away from Peterborough. So I took it to my old tech guy in Bedford but after he'd had two attempts i thought I'd ask around before taking it anywhere else. It has been intermittent in the past, but I think my techs hearing there's a signal and thinking he's fixed it, but it's not even at a ¼ of the volume.
  9. Hi, It's only about 2 years old. The newer model.
  10. Thanks anyway👍
  11. Sorry, forgot to mention I've already tried it, it's exactly the same.
  12. Amp now Fixed - I took it into Orange and it turned out to be a dodgy treble pot! I've had the same problem, Just posted this 5 mins ago in the Repairs and Technical section. Did you ever get it fixed? Hi all, Over the last few months I've been having problems with my terror bass head. When I go through the pre-amp I'm only getting a fraction of the volume from the amp and sometimes nothing at all. But if I plug in through the send of the effects loop I get the full 500 watts of the power amp! So it's got to be a problem between the pre-amp and the power amp. I've tried changing the valves and lost faith in my local amp tech guy, as I've taken it to him twice now, only for me to get it home and find it's exactly the same. Anybody here had a similar problem? At the moment I've managed to get over the problem by running a 'two tones revolt bass pre-amp' into the power amp, which to be honest I really like the sound of, so will probably carry on with this set up, but I'd still like to get the amp fixed. Any ideas? Cheers Tony

  14. Yes, you can change cloth to a different cloth but can't change cloth to metal or vice versa. Something to do with the way they're fitted 👍
  15. Sold my Darkglass B7K pedal to IamJon after the original sale fell through. No problems second time around! Thanks for the quick payment👍
