  1. So here is my BG150 - 150 of your Phil Jones watts through four of your Phil Jones 5” drivers. Perfect for recording and small shows…. bigger shows with the DI on the back. In great condition, with an active/passive input and limiter, it’s pretty much a one-finger lift and sounds a lot bigger than it should. Pref. collection in Bournemouth, will travel for gas or prepared to courier at cost at buyers risk!

  2. Thanks guys - all comments and suggestions are understood and much appreciated! I should have mentioned that I would have been using a fretless, so I guess pitch-to-midi is a bad idea all round. Time for a rethink …. gonna try a BOSS SY200 and see what I can get out of that.
  3. Hi all - so I have this idea that I’d like to play some melody lines via a pitch-to-midi device (sonuus g2m) into something so I can achieve individual sounds like piano, flute, whatever. I know I can do this with, say GarageBand whilst recording, but I’m thinking of using it in a live situation….. is there a box that will allow me to select ‘oboe’ or ‘harpsichord’ on the fly whilst on stage?? Anybody?? TIA!
  4. Yes, there are dots - right on the fret lines. Hope that helps!
  5. Works exactly as it should - bought used a year ago and only used a handful of times since. Fantastic quality as you would expect from Shure, and easy to set up. Happy to demonstrate here in Bournemouth if required.
  6. So I bought this bass new from Thomann maybe six months ago just to see if I could take to fretless. Turns out I could, so have since invested in a more expensive instrument. This bass weighs nothing and is actually a lot of fun to play - I put GHS Pressurewounds on it and lowered the action. It sounds way better than it should at this price point… comes with a very solid moulded StudioLogic flight case which I bought off our favourite auction site. It had been hacked around a bit inside but it doesn’t affect anything. Prefer collection only from Bournemouth.
  7. Same here …. been playing for 50 years plus. Never really made much money at it, but the love of playing music has taken me places and introduced me to people I would never have met otherwise. It’s been an obsession that ruined both my education and social life, still does and I don’t regret any of it!
  8. Bummer - what goes that mean for the rest of the tour??
  9. Caught you guys last night - just before Mr. Sutherland came on stage and cancelled his own gig. Bleedin’ Covid. Loved your band though, a good show!
  10. Don’t get it …. maybe I’m missing something. So I ordered two sets of TI’s specifically for Hofner basses, the JF324H. This is what I end up with, (the E and G) which is what I always thought was a def. no-no. Same on both basses, a 1964 violin and contemporary Club. Thoughts anyone?
  11. Hey - could be up for it! Whereabouts in Dorset? (I’m in Bournemouth).
  12. That’s correct - clean and powerful! A great little amp.
  13. More Orangey goodness - my OB1 500. This is a class amp - a real mixture of tones available here, you can blend clean and overdriven to taste. Used but not abused, comes in a GKR moulded rack case. Welcome to try out here or will meet up for gas.
  14. Continuing my Orange sale … here’s my LBT. This is an amazing little amp, small and powerful - a one-finger lift! A tiny 500w class D powerhouse. Immaculate condition - done maybe 2 dozen gigs since I had it from new. Complete with box and paperwork.Welcome to try out here or meet up for gas.
  15. Here’s my second SP212 …. this one is in superb condition - in the original box and packing it came in! Again, incredible sounding in a small package. A one-hand lift (for me at any rate!) The original Orange cover is included of course. You’d be very welcome to try out here or will meet up for gas. Thanks for looking!

  17. You’re right … typo. Read that as ‘77.
  18. I have two of these great cabs available … here’s the first. Great condition generally, drivers in good shape, tolex all good but the handle could do with replacing (although it works just fine) Roqsolid cover included. These sound phenomenal with a tiny stage footprint! IMO, the second speaker pushes out extra bass. It’s just that my tonal needs have changed so I’m now going down the 15inch rabbit hole. Welcome to try out here if you’d like or happy to meet up for gas.
  19. Me skankin’ with my trusty Hofner Club ….
  20. So I saw the KT Bush band at the Rose of Lee (music pub in s.London) in 1979. Might even have been her first gig…. I remember thinking it was more theatre than anything else, don’t remember there being an actual stage, she kind of floated into the audience (maybe 200 of us?) good gig - stayed to the end! We all knew it was something special…..
  21. Hiya - if you were to split, I was wondering how much you would be asking for the 112. … been looking for a while! Shipping to Bournemouth??
  22. So I’m selling my entire rig … Orange Little Bass Thing with two SP212 cabinets. The Amp is 500w and each cab is rated at 600w. It’s LOUD with a tiny, tiny footprint. Would like to sell complete, but might split. The cabs have covers and I still have the box that the amp came in. Happy to take more pics if needed. Cash on collection from Bournemouth please!
