Played a boozer in Worthing (the Egremont) with our AC/DC tribute’BAD BOY BOOGIE’. Hard to believe that the band’s been going for 30 years! We’re all old mates and it’s such a laugh. Only do about 3/4 gigs a year with it now but it’s always a craic and last night was no exception. Got a lift too so enjoyed having a few beers with it as well. We dress up with the wigs and all that and don’t take ourselves seriously but the audience always love it, who doesn’t like a bit of DC ! Actually got another one nxt Friday at the cavern in new Malden. Rock ‘n roll xx🤣

Don’t forget the USA Sterlings either, wonderful basses, jazz type necks, smaller bodies, slightly more aggressive tone but more versatile in my opinion and experience x

Hi, we’re playing at the factory in Worthing soon if you’re interested, can’t remember the exact date off hand but think early November 😊

Great sold out home town gig at the Capitol theatre in Horsham tonight ( ok last night now🤣) with the Phil Collins tribute. My set up really inspires my confidence, my trusty Wal, Tecamp puma 900 and and the fabulous LFsys monza cab, an amazing little monitor. Thought we may be a bit rusty as it’s been a while since the last one but pleased to say everyone was’on it ‘ an the audience were amazing! We collect money for a homeless charity by selling t shirts etc. we don’t put a price on things, we just ask people to give what they feel is manageable for them and tonight we collected over a £1000 for the bridge house trust, based in Tunbridge wells. Peoples generosity is very humbling sometimes x

Glad to see you took the plunge Ewan, i didn’t think you’d be disappointed with one. When you use it first time in a band /jam situation you’ll be amazed at the dispersion and how you can hear yourself, i know i was ! Welcome to the club! 😊Enjoy mate x

I have one also and quite often carry my two Wal 5 strings in it. It is handy but bloody hard to lug around 🫤😂

That’s so great that you finally sussed it! I have one I brought off here and luckily i haven’t encountered any issues with it so far, they certainly are amazing little units, perfect for home practice/ jamming. Enjoy 😊

Just back from a great show at Norden farm arts centre near Maidenhead with the phil Collins tribute. Lovely little theatre, quite an intimate place really, very appreciative audience and always enjoy chatting with them afterwards. Great fun! Wedding to play tonight so completely different, but looking forward to it.

Just my opinion, but if you want loud and modular for rock (or anything for that matter) I’d go; 1x barefaced big baby 1xbarefaced super midget Genz Benz streamliner 900 The bb will do you for probably 80% of your gigs, add the midget and it’s absolutely blow anything off stage time. maybe expensive, but go second hand , I don’t think you’d regret it x

Thanks obrianp, yeah I’m really pleased with it, to be honest one cab would have been fine last night as , in the end I was put through the PA aswell but going to the gig I wasn’t sure of the situation so took both just in case and seeing as it was a very short lug to the bandstand was another factor in me deciding to use both. Ta x

Just back from an amazing evening gig at the Pantiles in Tunbridge Wells, my last as stand in for a local funk/soul band. Brilliant atmosphere/audience and we were pretty much ‘bang on it’ playing wise.job well done I think as everyone was very complimentary about my performance tonight and the two I done with them last week, it makes you feel good doesn’t it 😊.lovely bunch of people and players too. X
