  1. Hi folks, pretty much as new condition, with roqsolid cover. No postage but could deliver within reason but would prefer a bass chum to trial first to make sure they were happy etc. Great cab but my super midget is mostly sufficient for me these days.kettles always on ! Thanks for looking.x😊
  2. I was quite happy with one bass and amp for 25 years until I joined basschat…..🤣x
  3. I a/b’d the lfsys cabs against my bb2 barefaced at the recent south east bass bash going through my puma 900 which I pretty much always leave set flat. They sounded clearer and more balanced to me.As much I I love the bb2, I preferred the lfsys cabs , especially taken by the little 10” bugger.obviously it wasn’t a gig situation but as Chris mentioned, too much bottom end doesn’t usually translate to a successful overall sound. They had the low end, it was just nice, tight and controlled.
  4. Quite rare these days, much more aesthetically pleasing than the stingray 5’s in my humble opinion, smaller body,’sleeker’ for want of a better word. Very very good condition,no dings I can see on body. I haven’t really used it much as I have so many other basses, hence reason for selling. Collection only , or possibly meet up somewhere within reason. Any trial most welcome.I don’t sell many of my herd but think this is too good to just be sitting there and needs to give someone else pleasure. Comes with musicman hard case but no tools. Will try to post some decent photos up soon. Thanks for looking x
  5. Looks like a great day, well done for organising it, I’ll take the ole MC924 please, lovely machine x
  6. Least you caught my good side stevie 🤣.Thanks again for letting us try out the cabs, very impressed when A/B’d against my barefaced I must say. So are you planning a 2x10?? Now that WOULD be a thing! best regards, jeff
  7. That’s brilliant Colin, thank you so much for all your hard work in organising a lovely event and the donations to very worthy causes. Really enjoyed it. jeff
  8. If you have access to a 3d printer, my young stepson made me these, stuck on with double sided tape so easily removable .Think they look better than ramps personally
  9. Thank you so much Colin, Gary, Trevor and whoever else was involved with the organisation, it really was an amazing day and lovely to meet such nice folks. My first time but definitely not my last (I hope!!) very very impressed by stevie’s LFSys cabs when I compared them to my BB2, especially the 10’” one.Great vibe. A privilege to attend x 😊
  10. Wish I’d taken music theory more seriously and learnt to read.I think it’s really held me back 🫤x
  11. Bit nervous at the prospect of meeting all you much more knowledgeable people than me but really looking forward to my first bass bash. Should we wear stickers with our basschat handles for identification??🤣
  12. Amazing little units, I tried loads of class D stuff before I got mine but nothing compares for me. Sharp, punchy and powerful. I’ve heard people describe them as ‘sterile’ but that’s where the taste control comes in. Would like to compare an Eich T900 though, out of curiosity. you won’t go far wrong with a puma., enjoy it and happy playing 😊
  13. If they work for certain players then why not?? We are all different.😊
  14. I’ve never been before but I’m going to try and get there, can or should I bring my basses?? There’s quite a few,🫤 Wals; 2xMKII 5 string “ 2xMKI fretted/fretless ” 1x PRO II passive “ 1xPRO I reissue smiths ;1x BLACK TIGER 5 “ 1x BT 4 “. 1xBSR 4 status; Empathy 5 musicman , Sterling 5 “. “ 4 “. “ classic 4 Stingray 4 Alembic distillate Ibanez musicians x2 GB spitfire 4 And if I can fit in all in the van my barefaced cab(s) and tecamp puma/genz shuttle/streamliner. Does anyone know if there will be any LFsys cabs there please? I like to compare them with the barefaced ones if poss. Thank you. Jeff
  15. I’m so sorry for your loss, it is so so devastating and difficult. When you can take stock of things a bit , I think maybe because you say your dear wife encouraged you and enjoyed seeing you play then take that as inspiration to go again. It sounds like it’s definitely what she would have wanted you to do and she would be so happy for you I’m sure. Sending you a virtual basschat hug my friends and all my very best wishes x
  16. I got my young 15 year old stepson to print me some dummy pickups as I think the look better than ramps. Both stuck with double sided tape so no screw holes and on the wal I dabbed silver paint to simulate the screw heads. Really pleased with them as I can now rest my thumb in the‘magic spot’ …..for me anyway. X
  17. Played the 100 club last night with the Martin Abrahams band, Tuesday blues thingy, we played pretty good, nice to to able to hear my bvs clearly for a change. Took my old smithy BT4 with my MC 924 as spare in case. Nice that for once I didn’t have to drive either and also glad I didn’t book any work in for today! Looking forward to a bit of a lay in , int morning 😊x
  18. What a band! Go on was my favourite album for years, played it to death 🤣x
  19. Thanks for all your help everyone,I managed to scratch the itch courtesy of the lovely Chris b on here and we a/b’d his thunder funk with my puma 900. It is undoubtedly a quality piece of kit no doubt about it but like someone said the core tone didn’t jump out at me enough and in fact made me realise that for the moment I’m very happy with what I already have. The puma is a remarkable little beast, and it’s re enforced why it’s been my main gigging head for the last 6/7 years. Thanks again Chris if you read this , ‘twas a real pleasure to meet you and for your kind offer. Basschat is indeed a wonderful community 😊x
  20. Hi all, my two gigging heads are a tecamp puma 900 for a clean signal and a genz streamliner 900 when I want a bit of ‘grit’ so to speak.can someone please tell from their experience if a TF 750 would bring anything else to the party I haven’t already got, apart from weight/size of course. I use barefaced bb2 and super midget cabs, very rarely together I might add. Thanks in advance for any insights. 😊
