  1. Well done for your positive attitude and I sincerely hope things continue to work out well for you 😊🤞
  2. Totally normal behaviour 🤣 enjoy your well earned holiday my friend 😎👌
  3. I’m so glad this is a 34’ scale, if it were 32’ I’d be in trouble. Beautiful machines of course but too much of a stretch neck wise for me. Good luck with things, I’m sure it won’t hang around long !
  4. Leigh’s a long time wal user I believe. Always a pleasure to see/hear his playing.great stuff!
  5. That explains why every’big famous band ‘ gig in a big venue I’ve ever been to the bass sound is usually an indistinguishable mush along with the drums .level 42 and rush shows included. I know different venues /difficult acoustics etc but when people are so called professionals am i asking too much to expect better?? Maybe, maybe not. mids are king to being able to distinguish the bass and it to cut through . An slightly unhappy graphic equaliser face makes me very happy 🤣
  6. definitely lighter than my 924, yes. Really digging the curved ends of the pickups, the ole thumb sits in just dandy. Have to say that I’m used to heavy basses so weight isn’t too much of an issue for me ( yet anyway) . Always liked the fact that (in my opinion anyway) you can dial in some very WAL ish type tones on these beauties. Creamy and punchy. Love ‘em indeed 👌
  7. Awww bless ya Steve, it’s gone to a good home rest assured. Thanks again bud. !
  8. Just took delivery of a pretty rare beast these days, an Ibby mc 2924. Absolutely thrilled with it! I’ve a mc 924 ‘85 I’ve owned since new, bit battered but still fantastic. This thing is…. Well, a bit my ‘refined’ I’d say. Loving the smaller body shape and like my old one a neck to die for. I’ve Wals, smith’s and stingrays but keep coming back to the humble musician. Appy days! Thanks to biscuity Boyle ( Steve) for a really pleasant transaction. Will try to post some pics
  9. Sorry I can’t help you on this but often wondered if it’s a bit of a gimmick? Do they really bring anything more to the table in a real world situation? Who knows??
  10. Often wondered about these, good to hear ! Enjoy 👌
  11. I’ve only ever owned one,a recent 2019 , still have it. Very nice but definitely susceptible to moving which I find disappointing really. Never keep it in extremes of temperature either .
  12. Just to resurrect this, has anyone got an real world experience/comparisons with one of these little buggers please?
  13. Same here! Best colour for these little buggers I think x
  14. Don’t think you can go far wrong with a puma, form factor is just as you wish, and the ‘taste’ control really gives some grind if you want. Definitely not bland in my humble opinion, but each to his own hey! My 900 and bb2 really is a one rig for all set up. Good luck with your search x
  15. I’m really looking forward to seeing the 10 inch cabs too! Great stuff x
  16. Thanks for your reply! Looking forward to seeing them. Cheers x
  17. Any news/pics of the 10” cabs please? Thank you x
  18. I was in a certain band for about 15 yrs, great players and people (well most of the time 🤣) We’d all say’must update the set’ but nothing would get done! Guess I was the one that used to suggest it the most. so after 14 years or so we finally started to learn more/new stuff and it was a revelation! Everyone agreed the newbies sounded great and it seemed to give everyone a boost, audience feedback was not suprisingly very positive. Then out of the blue the singer turned round and said he ‘wasn’t feeling it anymore’ and jacked it in! People are strange ……🥴.Really whizzed me off at the time 🤣
  19. Barefaced super midget and a tecamp or eich 500. Job done I’d suggest
  20. Ok, thanks for your reply, the digbeth aren’t particularly compact though, I thought Laney were a bit late to the party, but correct in introducing the sls heads to keep up with the other manufacturers going lightweight and modern looking y’know .I think the digbeth just look a bit’dated’ and old fashioned, but each to his/her own I guess .
  21. These appear to be discontinued? Anyone know why? The reviews and opinions of them were very positive i thought? Seems a shame? Were they actually U.K. built?
  22. Like someone else said, solid but very interesting player who could throw in some pretty dam technical phases/fills when he wanted to. Always thought of them as “ prog punk” for want of a better term. I’m pretty sure he was playing a modulus graphite both times I saw them. The prairie prince wasn’t too shabby either! Amazing stuff indeed! X
  23. That’s really sad news, fantastic players all of ‘em . Saw them at the Brook, Southampton a couple of times. So entertaining. Gutted
