I've just spent my Sunday filing down the fret sprout on my latest aquisition, followed by ripping out the stock pre amp and shielding the cavities with copper tape.
Tomorrow a new John East pre amp should arrive and when I've put that in, fitted new strings and set it up...it will be NBD!
