2. i only own one =1167. Might buy another in the not too distant future tho.
 3.
we'll catch them!!!! they really have picked the wrong group of people to mess with!!!
"Their first mistake was commiting a crime, Their second mistake was that it was against someone on basschat" Sorry i don't think i can be of much help, there is a remote chance they might have travelled east to hull. Bit of a long shot but i could try the 3 music shops down bev road since they take a lot of used stuff off people's hands and i'm planning on going in one of them any way. Is that list everything or was there some more (i'm thinking drums here) stolen? I'll also try Cash converters if we go into town.
What's BWB?
Boys with ducks beaks i think.
 4.
Say hello to, from left to right: Indiana, Tonto , Captain Storm and Pietro. Don't ask.
i love captain storm! Only one of my guitars has a name. It's called dean.
 5. i did 2. I also "engineered" at a 3rd. It was crap. I missed walker, texas ranger as well Now are you sitting comfortably? then i'll begin: formed a band at beginning of the year, couldn't find a drummer for a couple of months, then we got a gig at school in march and the singer hadn't done any practices so i sang for all of the 2 songs we did, very varied as well, foo fighters and nirvana! We didn't use the usual guitar amp either so we had to use this crappy 30w marshall mg and a crappy zoom fx thing with a broken Footswitch button that sounded completely muddy and horrible. Mind you the playing itself was pretty tight (although it would be difficult to tell) and the crowd seemed to like us so that's good. The next gig was about 2 weeks later in a youth club, the singer did attend for this one but he needed his lyrics for half of the songs and the drummer was a bit off. No vocals in the original songs either. We did about 11 songs and it was alright too. Then we had to stop because the guitarrist was obsessed with his GCSEs (i know they are important but i really don't see why he couldn't just spare a couple of hours a week.) Then in the summer we did some practices, no gigs tho. We practiced through to about september then we we're lined up to be the support act for this band that had started about the same time as us but were doing much better and i blamed our problems and lack of gigs on the gutiarrist, to be honest i think it was both our faults for having conflicting ideas and always arguing. Anyway the band favoured him so i left. This "engineering" gig was for the same band with a new bassist (who is pretty sh*t) and their playing is much worse now but looks like they enjoy themselves a lot more. The other thing is that when i left i kept the band name and songs because i was the only one who contributed to either, now whether that's because i was too bossy or because they just didn't care about being in a band i don't really know, it's probably the first one though (It's a family trait)
I've learnt to accept my Tinitus now and how to live it. At gigs I put my plugs in when I arrive at a gig and take them out after packing away. Maybe I'm a bit over the top but better safe than sorry ! I'm much less stressed according to my wife now I'm back in a band...
Funnily enough i had a similar experience last year. About summertime i was proper pissed off because of it, kinda ruined my 2 month school holiday. I felt much better once i got back in school tho. In a way it was quite good because i've kinda learned how to not be distracted by stuff like it.
Thanks to my place of work (big holiday/entertainment resort in Somerset, begins with B, and isn't Pontins ) I played about 280 nights, 2 sets average.
fook me!
 6.
There is no option in my book.
surley they're not that bad? I'd keep both.
 7. i really like these basses, it's just a shame that they don't make 5 string versions of this or the eclipse bass otherwise i would have snapped it up.
 8.
Hes done it, so I got some pictures today. I quite like it, actually.
must say it's better then when i had a go at painting a glow in the dark bass!
 9. ^yes that does make sense even if it was totally sh*te (which it's not), you can't really go wrong for less than €100.
That aside, isn't this the 4th/5th positive BC experience with these basses?
yep with mine being the first
 10. grolsh strap loks eh? "we only let you play it when it's ready"
 11. i like it, the sound is crisp and clear yet with bone-shattering low end as well.
 12. nothing is an end to GAS that's a very good start tho.
 13. http://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_mb222t.htm that one, pretty good for the price, new bass from a very reputable music store and not some ebay jobbie, good tuners, alright pickups and a very good quality durable bass. I actually got it cheaper then they are selling it for now, only £65!
 14. oh well guess i won't be buying it then. what's so bad about it that no one seems to want it?
 15. yeah and it's gonna be me who owns it next
 16.
Also whats a good way to seal the body do that it can be painted with car body paints?
primer.
 17.
Nope sorry. didn't even intended the pun
it's probably because i'm nearly 17 and i want to buy a car. A corvette would be nice but i doubt i'll have the money. Oh well i'll just have to get me an 8 year old vauxhall corsa, couple of bright blue spray cans, a 5" exaust pipe, neon lights underneath and put my SWR goliath in the back
 18. nice title, *hehe* it's clever 'cos it sounds at first like you're modding up a pointy american sports car /pointingouttheobvious
 19.
Crikey mate, a 35' (foot) scale!!
beat me to it! I was gonna say i'm sure a 34 foot scale would not be floppy at all!
 20. i did own a 70's jazz copy. guess that doesn't really count. Only £150 tho.
 21.
Personally, I really like the look of the Aerodyne with the trays/covers!
i must say it looks very much like a piece of expensive hotel furniture in that pic

 23. ^oh haha it's funny you should post that 'cos i just sent u a PM reccomending you post here You must be rich to have got all that stuff in 2 years, or just a REALLY good bargain hunter like me Looks like you are serious about bass tho.
 24.
Seems he aint the only one 14 strings on Talkbass I know which one has more chance of success!!
that guy sounds like a bit of a fool to be honest. he was saying he gets a buzz out of annoying people. twat. not to mention he can't actually build a bass.
 25.
may be some time, he's just started!
who says the pics have to be of the finished article?
