1. This man screams "chancer" to me. He's the sort of bloke who will try offering you £500 for your 5 year old honda CBR125RR and then try flogging you a vintage 1960s pre CBS fender pick for the same money.
 2.
You are being very diplomatic but yes - absolutely - the edges are a little rougher than they should be Nothing to do with the photo, I'm afraid, but happily hardly noticeable on the real thing unless you hold to the light in a slightly odd way. The reason is simple - in our slightly dusty house (cat, kids, etc, etc) getting the final coat on the top without any dust bugs is a pain and I have to make a decision every time of 'leave it now Rogers, the top isn't going to get any better', regardless of small flaws elsewhere. Before this is handed over, I will be using some flour-paper to take the tops off and polish with Auto Glym car polish... (General please note - I find Auto Glym is great for polishing areas of poly or nitro, but never use it more generally with a Tru Oil finish - it's OK to hide very small blemishes but on larger areas takes the shine right off ) Andy
aah yes. That dust is a bitch.
 3. I once used an old bass string with an old guitar tuner to make a tensionable curtain rail. Also I'm not a gypsy, although I was accused of looking like one by a first year w***er who had a bit too much to drink
 4. Sorry I can't be of any assistance on this topic but I personally love that swiss cheese look!
 5. looks really gr8. I agree about the toilet though lol.
 6. There are so many bikers on here it might as well be a motorbike forum lol.
 7.
I quite like the look of your Columbus Jazz project actually Eddie. But then I am regularly seen in public playing this monstrosity.
At least yours doesn't have any big gouges in it lol.
 8.
Cheers mate. As it happens (no Jimmy Saville impressions, stop it ) I met a drummer in t'pub this evening that I contacted a couple of days ago. That sounds rather seedy doesn't it... I digress, good bloke so who knows
gr8 news. See, that wasn't so hard was it
 9. I can't say I've ever seen an eden full valve amp, let alone a big old school thing like that...
 10.
We've been asked to 'turn down an octave or two' in the past, and have used it as an in-band joke ever since
obviously must have been a messughah fan
 11.
Really? Nobody's posted the Mothman yet? First in, for once....
I think she just chose an ugly bass so that people would notice her more, kind of like what Amy Lee and her backing band. Sorry guys, but you all lose. This really is the tattiest, most monstrous bass you could possibly have ever seen in your life: In fact I use it to play "gears of war" by megadeth since it looks like it's been hit by smart bombs and precision guided armaments.
 12.
D'you mean the kick drum?
+1
 13. My advice would just be to leave. It's not really worth being in a band just for the sake of being "in a band" if you don't like it.
 14.
What is this?
Looks to me like chicken, chips and cheese. Amirite? About the time thing, seriously, if your life is so busy that you literally have no time at all to learn 3 songs, then you should probably not be in a band at all. Clearly that 2-3 hours a week for rehersals could be put to much better use.
 15. That's, what, £1.25 each? Great. That's more than i've made from music playing lol.
 16. all very old school stuff, including the computer lol. Love it though, that synth is quite something.
 17.
had rehearsal with my old band the night before a gig, i'd just joined so we decided that we wouldn't play "misery business" by Paramore as i didn't even know the song at the gig the following night, singer turns round "we need to add another song in" me - "we can put in (original song) as it's one we all know" singer - "nah...let's do misery business" me - "i dno't even know that song" singer - "oh yeah...let's do misery business" me - "woah lads hold..." 1-2-3-4 this lead to a very awkward four minutes or so
To be honest I think a band playing a cover of Paramore would be enough to see me out the door immediately.
 18.
Pedant. Obviously I should have said maybe it's an indication of what prices will be next week here, and in GBP.
And per litre as well.
 19.
I don't know. Maybe it's an indication of what prices will be next week.
If fuel is going to be $2.279/U.S. Gallon (3.78 L) then bring on next week I say!
 20.
+1 A bottle of water at a motorway service station, thus making water more expensive than petrol: http://www.telegraph...-for-water.html
The question is, why have they used an American picture of a "gas" station?
 21. How come? Is it so idiots like me don't just post random comments in peoples' for sale threads just to add to their post count?
 22. Are you a bit of a fetishist seriously though, whatever floats your boat mate
 23. Well it's certainly not a fender P-bass. I'll give you that.
 24.
"Let's 'rock' it up". This I always take as a euphemism for "I can't play". Quite possibly the most over used and pointless statement used by cover's band members. "...we got away with that one" and "I'm quite relaxed about our performance, and thought it was really good in places. My friend in the audience said we were great". This was what an inadequate, ball achingly...I could go on, member of the band I play for, said after our last gig which was truly awful. The guy is deluded.
how dare he have a positive state of mind.
