1. As part of the forum rules, you must state a price for what you're selling.
 2.
its all originals.he has recorded bass on the demos but has said for me to come up with my own stuff (he must be mad)
So you're not really learning basslines, but coming up with them? That's a different kettle of fish.
 3. not long at all, maybe about half an hour to an hour if i've not heard it before. A lot quicker if i have. Perfecting it, on the other hand, can take me weeks lol.
 4.
His original ad reminds me of Mick Mars ad when he was looking for a band, pre Motley Crue. Loud aggressive guitarist seeks band. Didn`t do Mick any harm, who incidentally, from what I`ve read, is far from loud or aggressive in real life - aside from his guitar playing.
yep, he'd fit in just fine with drunk driving drug addicts
 5. Hello. We've already got a carachter from Hitchiker's guide to the galaxy, don't think we've had one from futurama before welcome to BC.
 6.
Personally, I'd like one of the Fender 5s from the 60's. Tuned E to C, 15 frets. That one. Definitely not your usual.
I never really understood that; it's as if they were decreeing that basses should have no more than 3.9167 octaves. I know what people are going to say "you only play the first 5 frets" yes i know but why not just make basses with 5 frets then if that's the case? Anyway I thought the problem with having only 15 frets is the fact that the body ended up being really HUGE to compensate for the short neck. It just looked really weird.
 7. very sexy. Nice bass as well
 8.
Don't know if there is a formal etiquette as such but as we seem to become more of a litigeous society I'd be quite careful. Irrespective of any legalities I just know if I wrote something really close to another well known song it'd grate at the back of mind so much I'd rather just bin it. From what little I've read it seems to be chord sequences that gets jumped on, if the pattern is very similar (even if transposed to a different key) it becomes a target, even if the styles and arrangements are really quite different. If it can happen to someone like George Harrison it can happen to any of us!
The chord sequences? Have you heard the chord sequences to most songs?:
 9.
There has to be some difference in how SWR do their power ratings to other manufacturers, I don't remember my Ashdown 575W head being any louder through the same cab. Or maybe I hit some efficiency limit of the cab with the smaller amp anyway?
I think you've probably just reached the upper power limit of your cab.
 10.
If this guy ever makes it in the music business, I'll eat my own balls.
I think he'll be eating his own balls if he talks like this to a lot of people in real life...
 11.
There are only 12 notes.
What about microtonalism?
 12. it is rather annoying when you make a song and it ends up sounding like another song. I find the best thing is to try and make a song, think what song it sounds like then once you know that, you can work on making it sound different from that song.
 13. I'm not sure what their issue with it is. Personally i love a bit of dirt in the sound, and from a production point of view, it really does a good job of flattening out the dynamics which is quite helpful with loud, heavy music.
 14. I am another one who would say hook up the thing to your computer. A decent sound card will make it sound great. You ought to buy a professional audio soundcard since they are superior in terms of sound quality to consumer sound cards like creative.
 15.
Oh gosh.. how's possible to be so stupid? what's you problem with me fag... c'mon f***in' ignorants go and eat sh*t you think you're very clever or something? I'm pretty sure u don't speak more than your language, you don't have a proper band and you're not goin' anywhere in the future. Keep on w***ing twats... so long freaks
You're angry now. I hate to think of you in the future when your dreams lie in ruin. You've mastered the art of swearing in English i'll give you that.
 16.
Do u think I play bass like Hilary Duff m*****f***er? You should see me play before speaking bullshit c***s*****. What's all these amount of freaks writing these sh*tty comments? Don't u have anything better to do appart from w***ing? f*** off
Calm down mate. What's with all the swearing? You sound more like you want to be in a hip-hop band rather than glam rock from this. If this is how you behave in front of people you've never met before then as i say, good luck finding a band.
 17.
thats fantastic mate! out of curiosity - what size would be the minimum for full acoustic kit, 2 guitars, bass and vox? I cant wait till the kids do one and i get my own personal space! lol
I think about 3 metres by 4 ought to do it.
 18. I don't think i could be in a band with just 2 players. Don't know why, it's just one of those things i suppose. For me i think 4 or 5 would be ideal.
 19.
You say that like its unusual
You're probably not far off the mark there lol. The last time i played a show we played in front of 2 people. That's the last time we get the guitarist to invite people to gigs
 20.
That's the type of shopping trip that I could enjoy, as opposed to being dragged around countless clothes shops by the good wife.
+1 lol
 21.
Generally Ohms is a quarter of what you put in when you have 2 cabs (must always 2 cabs of the same Ohm rating!) e.g. 8 + 8 = 4
No. The impedance of cabs in total is the reciporical of the sum of the reciporicals of the impedances of the original cabs. Sounds complicated but really it's simple. For example an 8 ohm and a 4 ohm cab will give you 1/8+1/4= 3/8. Then you reciporicate that answer to give you 8/3=2.6666.... ohms. The amp head unit should say what the minimum impedance rating is, as long as you don't go under that then the head will be fine.
