1.
I went to see a package tour show of three 'new wave' blues bands a couple of months ago. All three bassists played a 5-er, and all were probably in their twenties. Certainly broke the mould regarding the excepted blues band set-up. But what the hell, it all sounded good to me.
And that's just the point really; who gives a sh*t what anyone plays bass-wise as long as it sounds decent?
 2.
Any thoughts?
Yep. If your singer or drummer doesn't like it then they can go f*** themselves why don't you check out what drum kit he has? "2 crash cymcals? 3 TOM TOMS!? That's a bit pretentious. All you need really is a snare, bass and hihats, isn't it?" As for your singer, tell him to stop being such a lazy bastard and actually pick up an instrument and learn it before criticizing what other people play.

 4. I did this last night actually, sounded well good lol. I first put the preamp of my guitar amp in the effects loop, then decided to tighten things up by shoving the guitar amp into the extension cab which sounded better but lacked the low end of the cab on the bottom unfortunately. I think really for gigs you're better off just getting a distortion pedal. If you have a roadie though you can do whatever you want; I know that Mike Kroeger out of Nickelback uses a peavey XXX guitar amp for his distortion alongside a bass amp of some description.
 5.
The Clash - Guns of Brixton
ooh that is a fantastic bassline i think.
 6. "Riot"- Three days grace. Coat...
 7. I am another one who would suggest getting another 2x10. Just got a 2x10 combo with my markbass 210 cab and it's bloody loud. It's even louder than my old 4x10 cab.
 8. Oooh you naughty boy no idea. Edit, actually is it some sort of gibson or something?
 9.
Erm....yes, hence the (is there an emoticon for I give up)?!
Right ok w/e. Clearly your humour is much too subtle for me...
 10.
That was short lived EH
It is what one might call a "joke"
 11. I think really with bass necks you don't want one that is so thin you can see it's ribs but also at the same time not so fat that you start getting folds and orange peel skin.
 12.
I don't think the MB cabs have ever been as widely regarded as the heads. Shame really as I think the LM2/3 with the MB151HR is a great combo.
I don't know why, they're fantastic i think.
 13. Have you not posted this article before? Oh well, worth seeing again
 14.
MB1. "Got a feeling this could be a little neck heavy" Lozbass is selling a nice case for the Full Fat Model.
I did see that as well. Coincidence?
 15.
Egg cartons?
16.
I'm very interested to know how much noise reduction you get from just rockwool... hopefully loads, then I can copy you!
I don't think rockwool gives you a huge amount of NR. It's really just to stop sound from reverberating around empty cavity spaces. What you need is high density acoustic matting for proper noise reduction.
 17. Apparently my amp can handle a 2 ohm load. That means on top of the amp and the extension cabinet i already have, i could stick a single 4 ohm cab or 2 8 ohm cabs on top. Gr8.
 18. I remember my bike had custom exhausts on it. That was only a little 125 though lol.
 19. It's looking great so far. Nice bike port as well.
 20.
I was thinking about a pickup cover for this, I think I might go the whole vintage look, what do you think??
gr8 idea.
 21.
3rd from left needs putting out of it's misery, poor thing.
I think the shadowsky looks quite nice
 22. I personally enjoy playing a 4 string now and again along with the 5 which is my main bass. I think really unless you desperately need the money there is not much point in getting rid of that nice old pre EB stingray.
