2. OMG. It's not even in that amazing nick.
 3. Nice screwdriver . Seriously though great job well done.
 4. Cutting through and versatility? Got to be the 2x10 i would think.
 5.
Update, not on the settee, they wouldn't fit, they're on a bed instead, and still 2 basses I own aren't here to be photographed
amirite in thinking that one of these was used in a Thin Lizzy video? Might as well give this one a go, just for a lauwf:
 6.
It was serious. I didnt feel like throwing it away, so i decided to see if anyone actually wanted it. So now itll be off on its way to the one person who took it seriously.
As i say if you were being serious i think the extensive specs list was possibly a bit overkill Anyway i think we were really taking the piss out of ourselves more than your ad.
Hello big boy.
7.
Daft question perhaps but do the knobs work the opposite way round on a left handed bass? Or is that as daft as expecting the pedals to be the other way round on a LHD car?
I don't think they are; because of the way knobs are numbered it means that they go clockwise to go on and anticlockwise for off.
 8.
I know he's a guitarist but we build Robert Fripps guitars (some of them) and he's a lefty playing righty and he's one of the all time greats! Some of the best ever players I've met have been leftys on 'the wrong' instrument.. it's the people who can swap around that blow me away.. at Crimson Guitars we don't charge any extra for left-handers.. maybe we should offer a discount!?
It doesn't cost any more to produce a custom made left hand instrument does it?
 9.
Played a White 8-String Marathon in Music Ground in Manchester before it closed. I loved it, but it had an unworkable hump in the neck from the 3rd fret leading towards the headstock, suck a shame. In typical style they still wanted about a grand for it.
It was probably a fake.
 10.
I need to spend more time in this forum! .. we're running about a year behind ourselves right now but I've I've changed from building five or more at a time, dividing my attention and causing no end of confusion, to building just one custom instrument at a time.. it is so much better being able to think about just one project.. anyway.. prices were mentioned.. anything I say here will just get me in trouble in four or five years when prices go up again but we're talking under £2000.. I really love this bass and would jump at the chance to build more.. so anyone who mentions this post gets 10% off! Something else I've just added to our terms and conditions (and this is starting to sound too-much like self-promotion).. when you order your custom bass we'll agree a completion date and if I don't meet that date there's a sliding scale of financial penalties for me.. ie you save a bunch of money! I'm concentrating as hard as possible on getting our backlog down to a point where from order to completion is under four months.. wish me luck!
Gr8. If i win that £160 million then i'll be getting a 5 string version of that LP bass
 11.
120w should be way too low. It's not, trust me
120 W is fine if it's a valve amp.
 12.
Me New Matamp GT200 Amp and 2X12 Cabs. Finished at last
It's taller than me lol.
 13. It's a shame so many left handed players play right handed due to lack of choice; if more left handed people played left then there might be more choice lol.
 14.
Sorry guys, its been given to the guy one guy who took this post seriously and decided to PM me. Better luck next time.
I really didn't know if you were being serious or not with all the specs and everything on it.
Had one of these. Didn't think much of it. Some people say its a classic, but I'm not sure being mass produced for a long time makes it a classic!? If any BC members have an unwanted Maverick bar kncoking around, I'd gladly take it of your hands. They are as rare as rocking horse sh*t! They had that great crunch that you just can't find these days, and you could get that real chewiness that just isn't the same in these modern bars. The remanufacture of the Wispa was a good idea though, and I don't usually go for solid state bars. Nice, but a bit plain for my taste. Some say Cadburys had it best back in the days before they were bought out, but I have always felt more comfortable with Nestle. With a nestle bar you can easily carry one in to a gig situation with ease, knowing that it will not let you down when you really need it. Over heating is less of a problem too, but maybe that's just pedal el preference? I also have been searching for an unused, mint condition Secret bar, but am having similar problems finding one of those too.
Nah mate, a dairy milk is a solid state bar. Wispa was more of a modelling jobbie, designed to emulate an aero.
 15.
you missed an important detail: the number of "players", not just absolute numbers. India may have a lot more people than Norway, but I suspect it'll be easier to get a strong team of skiers in Norway. I don't know why I'm participating in this
Well there you go; clearly it can't possibly just be a numbers game after all then. Culture must have a bearing on it somewhere. If you'd never even heard of football you would hardly be able to play it for example.
 16.
It might seem slightly obvious but it's worth noting.... Scotland - population 5 million England - population 51 million Germany - population 82 million Brasil - population 193 million By the law of averages, surely the country with the largest pool of participants is more likely to have more people who excel in an activity in which all countries take part ?
That's right. Hence why china and india are the world's best footie teams...
 17.
here is the one i sadly sold to buy a new pc. i know what i would rather still have!!! doh!
I wouldn't be inclined to hang a bass by it's tuners myself.
 18.
Some people are rolling down from Nottingham? Jump on the roof.
Nottingham is in the EAST MIDLANDS whereas Manchester is in the NORTH WEST...
 19.
Approx 7lb. whatever that is in kilos Im an imperial man myself. Hope this helps.
I'll tell you shall I? It's 3.2 kg EH (metric man)
 20. You didn't need 5 seperate posts for your pictures.
 21.
I thought I was awesome at 20 too .....I suppose it also depends on what you think of as 'the best'.
I'm not 20 yet and i'm already past the stage of thinking i'm awesome...
 22. *Alabama, *talent, *to, *to, *Scottish, *debate, *should.
 23. I thought it was going to be dropkick murphys then lol. Also what is it about this 2112 thing? It seems a pretty popular number with a lot of BC members for some reason.
 24.
The next stage will be getting some grain filler and sanding sealer and then i can prime this bad boy. Im thinking of painting it the same green that Ford Focus RS is painted with matching headstock: With black pickguard and black hardware. have not decided on what hardware list i want yet. This is going to be a long project due to money restraints so don't expect too much too soon lol, next step getting a neck.
good idea. Not sure you can get the colour from halfords though.
 25.
I practise 2-3 hours a week tops and I can keep up with the best. (not to blow my own horn) Don't think I've ever had natural talent for anything, I just pick things up easily.
Unfortunately we don't actually know whether you're actually any good or not apart from what you have said so it's not really saying much. Everyone seems to think i'm quite good. I think i'm crap but then again i never practice. I think if i did actually put some work in i could be as good at the bass, guitar and drums as my sister is on the piano and violin and singing.
