3. For Sale, is my Roland CD-2 in excellent condition. Everything functions as it should, howver, It has one fault on the cdr in that it wont finalise the cd's, you can record and play back on the roland cd-2, but wont be able to play back on other machines via cd. the flash drive is fully functional, therefore you can download via the flash or the stereo outputs. Other than that it works fine. Comes with original box and psu. Here Is the specs: Whether your goal is to record audio and make CDs to present a performance or composition for evaluation, to advance your playing skills with the help of high-tech learning tools, to preserve and archive important audio, or to capture unforgettable moments like concerts or public events, the CD-2 will do the job quickly and simply — and with professional-quality results.
· Stereo recorder for creating audio CDs

· Record direct to CD or store to Compact Flash

· Effects for guitar, vocals, and mastering

· 2 XLR inputs, built-in stereo mic and speakers

· Practice tools with tempo/key change, tuner, and metronome

· Easy Recording Recording is a breeze on the CD-2. A high-quality stereo microphone is built in for top-grade, on-the-spot recording; additional mics can be plugged in as well. The CD-2 records directly onto CDs. So start playing, and as soon as you’re done you’ll have a finished, professional CD! For extra long recording times (complete concerts, church services, etc.), the CD-2 offers recording to popular card (CompactFlash) media, and supports up to 2 GB capacity for approximately six hours of recording time at 16 Bit/44.1 kHz linear mode. Edit Your Recordings! When recording to CompactFlash, your audio can be edited using functions such as Audio Level Adjustment, Song Erase, and Trim for cutting out silence between songs. Once you have everything the way you want, you can burn your performance directly to CD. Music-Training Support Students will appreciate the CD-2’s usefulness as an educational/practice tool, thanks to its built-in stereo speakers, speed/pitch control, tuner, and metronome. You can easily record lessons or musical passages, and play them back at a slower tempo while retaining the original pitch. Or change the pitch of the audio and play along indifferent key signatures. The CD-2 provides some great learning advantages for all levels of students. Convenient Connections The CD-2 makes it easy to get audio in and out. For ultra convenience, a stereo microphone is built-in, so all you have to do is point and shoot. Or, if desired, you can plug in external mics with the two XLR inputs, complete with phantom power. A pair of RCA inputs and outputs is provided for convenient connection to electronic piano, CD player or stereos; using the 1/4-inch inputs you can plug guitars, mics, and other instruments directly into the CD-2. And if you like, you can use the built-in guitar effects or reverb to greatly enhance your guitar or vocal sounds. Onboard Effects Enhance your recordings with the CD-2’s lineup of professional audio effects, such as reverb, EQ, and compression. Make your recordings sound more ambient and lush, or punchy and crisp. Special tools are also provided for guitar and vocals, and the onboard Mastering effects help you put the final polish on your audio before you burn it CD. You won’t believe how good your recordings can sound, and how friendly the CD-2’s tools are to use.

· Tracks

· 2 (Stereo)

· Sample Rate

· 44.1 kHz

· Signal Processing

· AD/DA conversion: 24 bits

· Recording Mode

· Standard mode Long mode WAV mode

· Recording Media

· CompactFlash (16 MB - 2 GB) CD-R CD-RW

· Recording Songs

· Up to 99 Songs on a single CompactFlash or CD-R Up to 98 Songs on a single CD-RW

· Input/Output

· Audio Input

· Internal Stereo Microphone MIC Input 1, 2 Jack: XLR type with Phantom power, 1/4 inch TRS phone type Guitar (Hi-Z) Jack: 1/4 inch phone type LINE Input Jacks (L, R): RCA phono type

· Audio Output

· Internal Stereo Speaker PHONES Jack: Stereo 1/4 inch phone type AUX Out Jacks (L, R): RCA phono type

· Frequency Response

· 20 Hz - 20 kHz (+0dB/-2dB)

· Nominal Input Level (variable)

· MIC Input 1, 2 Jack: -58 -- -22 dBu (maximum -10 dBu) Guitar Jack (Hi-Z): -32 -- -2 dBu (maximum +10 dBu) LINE Input Jacks (L, R): -24 -- +12 dBu (maximum +24 dBu)

· Nominal Output Level

· AUX Output Jacks (L, R): -8 dBu (maximum +4 dBu)

· Input Impedance

· MIC Input 1, 2 Jack: 4 k ohms (balanced) Guitar Jack (Hi-Z): 1 M ohms Line Input Jacks (L, R): 9 k ohms

· Output Impedance

· AUX Output Jacks (L, R): 1 k ohms Phones Jack: 10 ohms

· Recommended Load Impedance

· AUX Output Jacks (L, R): 10 k ohms or greater Phones Jack: 32 ohms

· Other Input/Output Connectors

· MIDI Out Connector: 5-pin DIN type Foot Switch Jack: 1/4 inch phone type

· Effects

· Dynamics group: 22 patches Vocal group: 26 patches Guitar/Bass group: 38 patches Mastering Tool: 25 patches

PRICE £55 inc delivery UK
Link - http://www.roland.co...spx?p=711&c=282

 10. Few things to consider as an owner of. Music rehearsal and recording studio. No matter how good your clientele is, bands vary vastly and musical equipment likewise. I would suggest good lighting, good soundproofing, plenty of sockets. Good pa system, would recommend you stating pa as a vocal pa usage only, or you could get through tweeters and cones if bands overdrive the amps with synths and electronic drum kits etc. Supply mid range backline. Equipment can get abused, no matter how reliable and honest your bands are, occassional hi jynx can and do happen. You will find out the bands that do the rounds of rehearsal studios, that other studios have barred, and dont be afraid to do this yourself!. Location, security and parking is important. Have a clearly stated cancellation policy in place. Studio bookings have seasonality trends, so allow for that in your budgeting. It's hard to make a living out of rehearsals alone, so would suggest that if you are looking at it as a career and or investment, you will more than likely have to think of bolt on's, such as rehearsal recordings or recording facility. Think out of the box to make it work, and network hard, word of mouth, reputation and get friendly with music instrument retailers, music venues etc. Definately don't assume the business will come to you. I've been going 7 years and I've seen a few studios come and go in the time I've been going. Good luck and enjoy, I haven't regretted going for it.
