3.
It's the whole gear-share that bothers me most about taking a decent rig to pubs - I've had too many idiots agree not to change anything on my rig except the master volume, but by the end of the first song they're twiddling merrily away, probably because they know I'm not going to be so unprofessional as to jump up on stage in the middle of their set and slap their hand for it. One guy I recall particularly naffed me off by setting my rig to a 'painful high-passed distortion mode' that I never knew existed for 45 mins and then immediately jumping off stage at the end to tell me it was 'a bit sh*t'. I may possibly have lowered myself to saying something about it being a perfect match for his playing.
I must be unprofessional. Whenever I share my bass rig, my rules are plug and play, and no drinks on the rig, so the one time that a bassist ignored me and put his pint on my rig and started playing in his first song of their set, I jumped on stage, switched amp off and pulled out kettle lead, took his pint off the amp and told the bastard to mime.
 4.
Don't get me wrong, I love a bit of bartering and i don't like it when people refuse to take even a small amount off it. In fact I started off at about £1200, which then got negotiated down to £1100. Fine. But £500? That's just an insult.
Some people will take the mickey, however, like I said offers are a starting point of negotiation and communication.
 5. It does surprise me a little that people are shocked at getting low offers for the items they sell. I think yes it is annoying, however it is the starting point of communication and negotiation, it is an opportunity to sell your item at a mutually acceptable amount. The key is not put your item too cheaply to begin with. In the Uk we seem to shun the bartering and get all offended. Most other countries embrace it, and expect it. Rightly or wrongly, we can all be offended by low offers, my recommendation is to put an opening price and use the low offer as an opening to negotiating a price you are happy with, that way you get what you want and the buyer feels he has made a saving. Win win all round.
 6. Ordered my Super 12 week before last, and really looking forward to receiving
 7. ditto exactly the same except I have a deposit on a Super 12 :-)
Would so have beat you all except I have a deposit down on a Super 15.
8. Pm'd
Im selling this brand new gig bag as i have no need for it! I got it with my bass, and it was only used to transport it from the place i bought my bass to my house, and has lived under my bed ever since. Looking on the internet, seems to go for £35ish brand new + delivery, so say £30 including delivery OVNO? Will do it cheaper if it can be collected from Hawkinge or Ashford in Kent. Thanks! Nic
9. Look forward to receiving :-)
Hi. Another player inducted into T-40 land! Sold to the highest bidder! Pending the usual. There will be a similar one up for grabs in about 4 weeks - a friend is buying one of my Sunbursts and I have offered to put his T-40 on here before it hits ebay, Gumtree etc. So, anyone curious about having a T-40, PM me to register your interest and I'll get some pics to you when I get it. Cheers.
10. Once you make contact with Alex, he will evaluate and advise according to usage, style of play, style of music, equipment etc etc then advise accordingly. The way Alex works is a consultative way, so you will safe in the knowledge that your getting good advice and the right product for you. Good luck with your sale :-)
If I can sell my Markbass cabs I'm gonna get one of these. It sounds perfect for my needs. Not sure if I need a tweeter though.
15. No I didn't go for the tweeter version as the style of music I play doesn't warrant it :-)
Is it the (T) version? Here's a picture of mine to keep you going
16. Have just paid my deposit and ordered a barefaced Super Twelve Cab. To say I am excited is an understatement :-)
 17. Hi, Can I ask what the neck is like, ie is it slim like a jazz or chunky like a precision. Can you give a bit more info on it's tone possibilities/sound, it's a lovely looking bass, just would like the info to get a feel for it. Are all the tone pots and switches sycon,no scratchiness or pops etc.
 18. No problems Alex, I appreciate and understand you are a busy person, it's the excited purchaser syndrome, having sold equipment and having money to purchase, the momentum and anticipation carries you away. My thread is not one to knock, but to enquire if there was another way to contact you, so please don't take it the wrong way, never my intention to cause any fuss. Regards Ade :-)
It's all too easy to spend all my time replying to emails when cabs need designing/building so although I read most of them almost instantly I tend to reply in bursts. Some replies take longer than others depending on how obvious the answer is! I'm planning to get one of our employees trained up but if you've been through the Barefaced sales process you'll know that it there's quite a bit of expertise required to match customer to product...
19. Noo, I don't have an issue, was just seeing if there was another way to contact Alex thats all. I have also sent him a message on here. Hopefully get the order underway. Ade :-)
What they said - whatever minor frustrations there may be getting in contact with Alex the product is so good it is not even worth considering as an issue. quick edit - mine took 8 weeks - problems with plywood etc delayed it by a month.
20. Many thanks for your responses guys. In your experience how lomg does a cab take from point of order to delivery. Don't worry I won't hold you to it. Ade :-)
 21. Hi, I sent Barefaced Cabs an order enquiry using their online contact form and haven't heard back from them. As I hadn't heard back from them I thought i would give them a call, but they don't seem to have a contact telephone number on their website. Can anyone help me please? ade :-)
 22. It's absolutely excellent for bass, 3 synth engines in one, filters are good, whole lots of sonic possibilities all of which can be saved as a patch. It's very hands on, and layout wise it's all you would expect from vintage synths. Very light, and it comes with a dedicated Gaia case. You might find sound files on the Roland site. Reason I bought it was because I used to have many analogue synths when I was younger, and to me this was a very good analogue emulated synth in both layout, format and sound. I got it for a project, but the project collapsed, so was only used a few times over that period and never left my studio. Hope this helps. Ade :-)
Whats this like for basses? trying to replace my old moog with something a little less heavy

Whats this like for basses? trying to replace my old moog with something a little less heavy
