Total Watts

  1. Having a little bit of a clear out, due to unexpected car repairs, all pedals in good working order, some boxed, some not… I need to have a look at which ones are boxed. Happy to post at buyer’s expense. Morley 20/20 Distortion Wah - £150 MXR Bass Fuzz Deluxe - £100 MXR Micro Amp (vintage one) - £60 TC Electronic Spectracomp - £50 DOD FX10 BiFet - £100 (obviously, missing one knob cap, but does have the battery cover still)
  2. James at Affordaboard’s posting me one out to demo, should be with me early next week. I’ll post my findings & some demos once I get a chance to record.
  3. Mine’s grown into something that simply fits my needs without having to swap out pedals from gig to gig.
  4. Actually, I don’t even gig with that head, I found that for most stuff I do, 900 watts is far too much. So, that EQ’s definitely in no semblance of anything I’d use on a gig 😂
  5. I really like it, I ordered one after seeing the last BasstheWorld video on it. It’s basically just classic bass drive, but very nicely done! Really intuitive to use, & works great in a live mix too. I chucked up a couple of demos on my instagram: https://www.instagram.com/reel/C-sur6PtIdg/?igsh=NDNncDVsbDhnc20z
  6. Well, tone wise? Wildly different, the P’s much hotter, & obviously sounds like a PJ, but in terms of playability etc? They’re pretty identical! Same neck & body on them, other than routing!
  7. Back on BassChat after many years of inactivity… & many pedalboard changes. Here’s my current board, nothing crazy, but I like to think all nice toys that are useful!
  8. So, I have a Charvel San Dimas PJ, & I love how it feels & plays… but I’m not super happy with the sound. I’ve been keeping it around to use on rock gigs, but last weekend I was out on a couple of indie rock/pop gigs… & I wasn’t overly stoked with it in context. (Overly attacky, not a whole lot of body to the sound & left me thinking “My Lakland would have done this way better”) Leaving me with a couple of options… either sell it & buy something else, or swap out the pickups. I’m thinking the Nordstrand NP5F would be a potential shout, but see basically nothing about them. Anyone using one? What do you think?
  9. Hey all! So, I’ve been pretty inactive on here for QUITE some while. Figured it’d make sense to reintroduce myself. I’m Danny, from Stoke. Mostly playing bass with various pop artists & depping on covers gigs, since I’ve yet to find my “forever covers band” tried rock covers, which I found pretty dull, did some metal covers for afew years with decent returns. Had a pretty great festival & wedding season this year, not as good as I’m assuming a lot of people have had… it’s getting my foot in the door! Ashdown artist, 5 string & pedal enthusiast!
  10. Popping this up, I’m not gigging it very much (think it’s done… maybe 3 this year? Festivals & a wedding) and I want something a little less rock & roll. Fantastic playing & sounding bass, wonderful neck, roasted maple with luminlay side dots, rolled edges, all of the modern appointments. Has a great, & very punchy sound from the Dimarzio pickups. Whilst the split coil isn’t branded, it was designed & manufactured by Dimarzio. The preamp, it’s ok, not the best preamp ever, but definitely not like some reviewers slated. You’ll only get noise by cranking the treble control, & who does that, really? Cash, or bank transfer accepted. Can ship, at buyers expense. Will also consider trades, 5 string Jazz bass, or passive P basses, Warwicks, G&L, Reverend, maybe a Maruszczyk Jake if someone’s getting rid of one? 👀
  11. Could I possibly have it? Just gotten a project bass that could do with a preamp!
  12. Haven't posted in a while, but here's my current pedalboard!
  13. Just got the Big Muff & Small Stone today, so I retweaked my board. Pretty happy with it!
  14. Just picked up this modded Squier Jazz fretless off a friend for £60, it's been refinished with a brush & given that road worn look! I'm loving the playability of it, feels great, & fretless feels really organic & natural! It's currently strung with roundwounds, but I'm gonna put some flatwounds on there, I have a set of Chromes lying around. Kinda want to put a 1 play black pickguard on it now, does anyone know where the best place to get one is?
