Hey Gareth! i did try what U suggested & it does the trick very well indeed! Then i added a little more reverb & another patch & this sounds good! Not exactly a Fender Rhodes, but close enough, with its own flavour... Thanks a ton!

Am watching the Key9 video right now & it's incredible... But i really can't afford it... for now..

Oh whoa thanks man! i'll try that tomorrow!! Good idea!

New (?) Harley Benton model - short scale hollow body

Hey there! Do U still own the HB-60? i'm considering getting one... Just wonder after a few years how U feel about it! -
Dear Fellas & Felazettes, i own a GT-1B & i love to play around with it at home. But i am starting a new project here in Seville, Spain, where keyboard players are hard to find. i might have to play chords while the guitar player does his noodling. So i was wondering if other owners of this fantastic multi-FX pedal had ever tried to create a Fender Rhodes patch. And if so, how did U do it? i assume U need quite a lot of reverb, some tremolo, some sort of pitch modification, but what did U choose as FX1 & FX2? & what settings for each element? Also, i have read that some of the FX, like the Octaver, do not allow U to play multiple notes at the same time, & i just tried with a couple of patches & it does look like this is true... Is there any way i can get a Fender Rhodes sound on this thing & play chords too? i'd really appreciate all the help i can get! (And before U draw Ur guns at me: yes, i understand the role of a bass player in a band, and no, i don't have any budget available to buy new pedals, basses or a keyboard) Take care!

Hey guys! I might be late to the party but i own a Squier Classic Vibe Precision '50s Lake Placid Blue that i got second hand for £190, an Ibanez TMB30 Mint Green that i got new for 160€ which i strung with Black Nylon tapes, a Harley Benton BZ-6000 (350€), a Vintage V74MRJP (250€) with Fender flats and a Harley Benton JB-75MN Black (139€) that i just got for my Bday four days ago. All my basses are super low budget. I tried, bought & sold a bunch of basses before i got to this collection. Some of them were much more expensive than the ones i own now, & yet i prefer those. I would recommend the JB-75MN especially, super low cost, super comfortable & fast under the fingers. Same goes for the TMB30 if U're looking for a short scale.. Hope this helps...

Thanks. Love it too. But is there an explanation for the difference of sounds i get on the same amp with and without headphones? Is there a compressor or smthg that kicks in when headphones are used?

Fellaaaaaz & Fellazettes! It's me again! i have a question for U. Since we're at my Girlfriend's parents' for a few more days, i play the bass with headphones through my poopy travel amp (Blackstar Fly Bass, 3W) & through the headphones, without even using the EQ & Comp knobs of the amp, i get that awesome P-Bass sound & the tone knob really has a massive impact on the overall sound. When i play unplugged through that same amp, the magic is gone. & last night i was at a friend's studio, & it was the same: the P-bass sounded like any other random bass through the studio monitors (bass plugged directly into the DAW). What is in the tiny amp that reveals the Pbass sound? Will be back home in 10 days. Hope my Warwick combo gives me the same tone i have with headphones on the Fly amp...

Oh kewl, i have fender glats on my fretless, it's reassuring to have it suggested by someone else! Tooth brush, noted! I got myself some WD-40 on someone's advice, but i think Brasso was a better idea..

Fellaaaaaaz & Fellazettes! New Bass Day!!! I am delighted to let U all know that I finally got myself a Squier Classic Vibe Precision '50s Bass in Lake Placid Blue! Expensive but worth it! £440!!

Truuuuue! Maybe I should've mentioned him instead.... Humm...

Yeah it has to be Geddy Lee for me too! Amazing tone & tasteful playing on everything he's ever recorded (& even on live recordings on Youtube). Do U guys ever stop to consider what it takes to have such a long career & never make mistakes U'd be ashamed of later? i use the Rotosound Black Nylons on my short scale, love them!!!

Oh whoa @SpondonBassed, thank U very much! Will look into those soon!!! Thanks a lot!

Okay Thank @mangotango! i actually spent a good half hour watching a bunch of Youtube videos about those basses, but the slim neck, & the general sound and aspect of the bass is not what i'm looking for. If i could, i would just get one of those Lake Placid Blue Squier Classic Vibe 50s Precisions that are now super rare & "expensive" (for my pockets anyway). The Lake Placid Blue of these Enhanced basses is not the same, the body shape is not my thing, the slim jazz bass neck either... i'm looking for Pbass maple neck, passive, just one pick-up so that if i decide to upgrade it, i don't flip up too much lol.. i've never done this. i'm pretty good with my hands, good with the normal set up of my basses & dealing with minor issues, but i've never messed with the electronics. i'd like to do the copper tape isolation thing in the cavity, get a super good, clean sound. But i'm really struggling to understand how pick-ups work, the whole parallel/series wiring if i get something that has two pick-ups, the "ground" wires (where to connect, why, how?) ... i'd like to have something simple that i know inside out! Thanks for the suggestion though, i admit it was very tempting!
