  1. And There you go ! After a hard work, a long journey to the luthier (fret planning and full adjustment), she's back ! See how oil brings out, much better than varnish, all the colors of the different woods ! She's beautiful and she sounds great Thanks again for all your advice !!
  2. @LukeFRC I talked to my luthier who advised me the Danish. I saw old realisations and that's look great. In addition, it is very easy to sand again in 10 years and then to re-oil.
  3. @PaulThePlug : I'm going on a natural oiled finish - I will show you. @LeftyJ and @Bassassin : I can understand your point of view. Personally I do not attach importance to the brand, the rarity or other sign of fame. What interests me is the quality of the violin, the design and above all, the sound. This is an exceptional bass and, in my opinion, it will be even more so without its yellow varnish full of hits which does not allow the woods to vibrate fully. I'm going to give it 6 or 7 coats of Danish Oil, I just think it's to respect the woods and its design. The serial number is still visible. The logo ? I don't care. I will show you the final result.
  4. Completely sanded ! It was very hard, the varnish was tough ! Now I'm gonna take the step 'Danish oil'... To be continued
  5. I crawled the net and just found 3 ads. One in Usa, one in Australia, and this one in Paris. I'm a bit lucky
  6. Hey everybody ! Look at what I just bought : I got it for 600 Euros. It's really big compare to my Warwick Streamer Stage 1 but I will get used to it. I'm gonna completely renovate it (sanding, oiling ...) and I will show you the result. Thank you all for this brainstorming which allowed me to choose this bass !!!
  7. Update - 41 kgs - more or less 80€ to ship to EU.. God damned, so cheap - I'm not going to throw them !!
  8. Hi TheGreek ! No idea.. If you find a not so expansive way we can manage that ! Cheers
  9. Hi everybody You have all contributed well to compiling a nice list of bass with the desired profile, thank you ! After a good reflection I choose my future fiancee Ibanez Musician MC 800 NT ! Quite rare, I know. I already find one in France for 600€ (discussing for the moment with the guy). Does anyone have one in a closet ?
  10. @Bassassin I see it know, interesting. So many options, haha I'm happy of the list we create for that special kind of bass ! I'm gonna take my time to find THE ONE !
  11. @Bassassin 👍 Are you a bass historian ?
  12. @mcnach Haha - I should go there that's sure ! @PaulThePlug What do you mean ?
  13. @mcnach Thanks, I looked today on their custom page. Beautiful stuffs but minimum 1500€. It's at 80km from my house !!
  14. Never seen that before! Add that to the list, then. It's beautiful but what it's strange is that on the wiki page they said that Washburn was established in 1983. And there is not a word about a Vulture model. Ok for Brandoni, I understand But do you thing we can be confident, are these quality instruments ?
