Hello everybody ! I am looking for a bass but I have demanding criteria. I would really like her to be : - Passive - Neck through - 4 strings - A single pickup (typed P-bass or Soap bar) with a hot powerful sound - Handcrafted by the manufacturer's team (not in China ..) - With a natural oiled or waxed finish (not painted) - Not a fender or a Fender like ! Except in Custom shop, I found nothing .. Do you have any ideas ?

@dannybuoy Yeah I have to go with just one pickup. Thanks for the advise, I'm gonna watch the Nordstrand's models. I think it's a good idea to look on the Soapbars side. @shoulderpet As I said I have to go for just one pickup. I'm gonna watch the model that you suggest. Thanks dudes ! If anyone have some other advices I will be glad ! Cheers -

No suggestion from him cause he don't have an experience of the Metal needs. -
Wich pickup do I have to choose ?

Hi Ahpook They use P-bass most of time. On my Warwick Streamer Stage 1 there is a P/J configuration, and I always play with the balance at noon (so 50/50 for the 2 pickups). That's why I wonder if there is a sort of pickup that would made this job... I would prefer an humbucker to reduce parasitic noises. -
Hello fools I'm gonna order a bass to a luthier but I don't know which pickup I have to choose. I need just one passive pickup. I like a round warm and powerful sound. For examples : 'Ebin' of Sublime or 'I will survive' of Cake. But I'm playing Metal, with no effect, so I need something powerful that will easily pass the mix. Does someone have an idea ? Thanks and have a great day ! F.

£1350. £1250 ! £1200 !! ------------------ Should we still present it? Stuart Zender's bass ... 4 strings, neck through, active, handmade in West Germany in 1987 ... Able to offer a wide range, with an ultra-thin neck with infinite sustain. It has been fully sanded and re-oiled. The fixings of the pickups have been reinforced. The frets have been readjusted. Only sign of old age : a digging above the P pickup, because of the thumbs that have landed there over time. There's also a light sign of age near two of the four tuners. The wood have a very slight blow. I sell it because I fell in love with another bass. Tests and questions are welcome ! Specs: Model : Streamer Stage I 4 string Handcrafted in West Germany - Serial number : F 816 87 - Year : 1987 - Month : June - Numbe r: 816 - Wood Neck : Wenge - Touch wood : Wenge - Frets : Warwick bronze frets - Nut : Brass - Type of construction : neck through - Body : 2 pieces of cherry - Finish : Oiled / waxed - Pickups : 2 EMG active in PJ - Preamp : 2 MEC bands - Hardware : Gold Schaller made for Warwick

---------------------- Since they do not sell, I propose a new price : £ 600 ! £400 !! £ 200 !!! --------------------- Hello After studying cabs acoustics for a long time, I started in my first realization : 2 cabs 1x15" ! The calculation file is 30 pages so I will just give brief explanations : - Birch multiplex 21mm, 13 ply. - HPs Fane sovereign 15-600 LF - 600 watt rms each. - 38 Hz -> 3.5 kHz - 98 db @ 1W @ 1M - 40 kilos - Two Speakon inputs, connected in parallel. Given the weight it is more like cabs of residence, studio or living room. Or you need big arms and a good back Cabs of well-known brands are often lighter but we do not speak of the same quality I sell them 1000€ to finance other projects. If you want other explanations do not hesitate ! Have a nice day, evening or night - choose ! F
