1.
Seems to have been a recent price crash on these amps.
There have been a recent price rise, not crash! On the whole Hartke range.
2. That is shoreline gold isn't it?
3. I have the 2x10 version, £300 seems a big bargain for it really.
4. Hasn't he already got one?
5. Ahhh, are you the bloke who I guess was inspired by my wood choices?
6. You don't need to bump a matter of hours later.
7. I love this head, I have not owned a better amp (including the likes of Mesa Boogie, SWR etc), but I sold my cab, was going to keep this to take to shows where I could use someone elses, and only take my combo when needed, but I want to get some savings up again (and try not to waste them on basses/cars this time!), I am more in 2 minds about selling this then anything before (and I've sold a lot of stuff). It's in good shape, never ever had any sort of technical issue with it, it's been 100% at practice and shows. I have the original box, can ship in that if needed (your choice of courier and insurance). Collection/trial in Peterborough is fine too, and if you collect you can have the neoprene laptop bag I always kept it in (don't think it will fit in the box if shipped). £575 (seem to be £799 new everywhere), plus shipping if needed. 8. Bit strange how this hasn't gone yet!
9. Anyone know of a decent badass III alternative, I know the gotoh bridges are good, but don't replace the standard Fender strung through bridges, do they do a version for that?
10. Could be because of the Bartolini's! Not sure really, I quite like Bartolini's in general.
11.
Hi, does it sound darker than a typical alder/rosewood fender jazz?
Yeah, it does, it has a dark warm sound to it.
12. Why the new thread?
13. Na, didn't get round to moving the speaker as it stopped annoying me, might do if I get time one weekend. And if no-one wants it cheap, and there is an issue with the speaker I might just replace it and sell it with that included on top, will see what happened, not in a rush to get rid. Will try a different lead as well too just incase since you mentioned a speakon cable issue.
14. Trade it for your fretless! Haha.
15. Here is my cab up for grabs, got this in a trade for a bass last year I think it was, and used it ever since, recently I noticed it kind of buzz from one corner as per a thread on here, but since then I haven't noticed it anymore, however I am more inclined it's me just having got used to it, I think at worst it would be a new speaker which is around £50 for an Eminence Gamma (which I've read is the same as the ones they made for EBS!), so anyway, because of that, and my new combo, it's here for a bargain price of, duh na naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, £300 (which seems pretty good for something that is £900 new). Will get a proper photo later (probably tomorrow actually as I have a gig tonight)! Would consider a neo cab in exchange or a fretless bass, and pickup from Peterborough in Cambridgeshire only, then you can try it before you decide you want it. Oh and if it does need a speaker, then here is the link to show the cost: - http://www.bluearan.co.uk/index.php?id=EMI...name=gam10front
16. Tell them to shove it, unless you really want to do it.
17. Any idea if the knobs will fit CTS split shaft pots? If so, I will take the larger ones!
18. Will also sell this for £400 to allow me to buy a fretless instead, if it's not gone or I don't have a traded neck before payday, I'll keep it and buy one!
19. Cheers, I've e-mailed them.
20. Anyone recommend a good company for making a cover for my Hydrive combo? There seems to be a few around, but I have no idea who is best, cheaper the better of course!
21. You got a picture of the back of the neck etc?
22. Will bump this back up, had 3 offers, but nothing that really grabbed my attention. Can always do the fretless plus cash for this if it's a cheap one, or might just sell the awesome neck on this to fund a new fretless one!
23.
I would guess that the difference between the sound of light and heavy strings will be more pronounced at stage volumes and less so at home.
Why would that be the case?
24. Here is an awesome Jazz bass, I made this from Warmoth parts, then recently got it back, but on the same day I got it back I also won a cheap P Bass on ebay! I made this into a passive bass as originally it was active, and I prefer the sound like this, it has CTS pots, it actually has cost as much to make it passive as I sold the preamp for! I want a fretless, so this is up for trade for a nice fretless (nothing cheap, this Warmoth is not a cheap bass)! PM me! Collection/trade in Peterborough. Alder Body with Flame Maple top Special finish top with transparent brown back Goncalo Alves neck with Ebony fretboard Straight 10” radius 6150 frets White corian nut Gotoh 201 Bridge (black) Schaller BML Tuners (black) Bartolini 9J1 L/S pickups At the moment it has no knobs on it, but has new CTS pots all round, trying to find some knobs that fit at the moment.
25. I replaced the preamp with CTS pots on the Warmoth, and the knobs I got for it won't fit, infact one even broke one of the pots, so need another new expensive CTS pot now too!
