1.
Nah first series are considered top dogs .. That's the ones with a big Fender, small Squier on teh headstock, circa 83 or so... Not sure about the serial prefix...
I had one of them, was a nice P bass indeed, but I didn't keep it long.
2. I'd rather spend the money on a car, hence why I did, I use my car every day, I don't play bass every day. Also, it's crap about them keeping the good Gibsons for America, there are good and bad new Gibsons the world over.
3.
I have a Sandberg California JJ Jazz which is relic'd. Never thought of getting a relic'd bass but when I played it I couldn't care less what it looked like! Always think that at least if you put a ding in it yourself it won't matter! I am sure this bass is awesome - wish I could justify another Sandberg as I am a big fan.
Same here, exactly.
4. Without a doubt my Sandberg, I finally have found "the one", it makes me better!
5. Just needed to know in case I need some cash in the future with this job evaluation thing happening around the country to council employees, would probably sell and get one of those cheap Hartke if I run into harder times!
6.
Is that a set neck? I can't work out what holds body and neck together.
It's held together by magic, hence the cost.
7. I think it's okay, but I still don't get how people can spend that much on a guitar.
8. If I was to tell my F1, how much should it be worth in top condition? Cheapest new seems to be £712 from bass merchant etc.
9. A real Conklin has always been my dream bass, but I've been spanking the cash too much recently! Swap it for a Vigier? :brow:
10.
True, but its worth giving Jon a call to discuss your spec. I was very pleasantly surprised at the quote I got. By the way (and completely off topic) as a life long Canaries fan, when are you going to change your avatar?!
Never! Haha.
11. To tell the truth, I like the look of Shuker's a lot, but the price from his website put me off getting a quote, for the single cut, it says from £1795, which is quite a bit.
12. Yeah, maple fretboards are my favourite looking ones.
13. This is my fretboard at the top for anyone interested....
14. I wish someone would buy my Vigier then I'd have it!
15. Deftones were a massive influence on my when I was younger, good to hear he is in a stable condition though.
16.
Hope it IS a good one. I've heard one of the all tube Guitar amps they made..... Wasn't impressed!
Their guitar amps are poo, but I am sure this will be decent enough, although, it could break, haha.
17. Sorry, I moved last weekend and have no net at home, and been off work a few days, think I am going to pull this from sale at the moment.
