1. I had never heard of Lettuce before, but they are awesome on their myspace.
2.
But the EBS Mircobass II is much better, but also cost more.
But remember that is an opinion and not fact.
3. Gigged it tonight for the first time, did well! Was an awwwwwwwesome show too.
4. That is awesome! I am contemplating getting my brother to lend me a grand while I sell a guitar or something.
5. Get Sandberg to make you one to your specs!
6. I contacted Alan about it, so may well get it finished, will see what happens!
7. Think Sei are a bit too expensive for me! Although I would love one.
8. He plays Fender now doesn't he?
9.
RIM Basses seem to do some very nice stuff. There are a few of his in the Build Diaries section. www.rimcustombasses.co.uk
I do love his stuff, I have considered getting one of his for a while.
10. I e-mailed brubaker following seeing that awesome bass someone posted on here, anyone had any dealings with them?
11. Quite a few months ago now, yeah was in a hiscox, must have been a lot of force on top of it, didn't really start this to be a thread about the ACG though. There will be an ACG in this house soon enough though as my housemates Wenge top one is finished now.
12. Bent pots and damage from that, and I believe Alan said it damaged quite a bit of the wood and last I heard he had the fretboard taken off it, I am sure I saw it in the background of one of the photos on here hanging there without the board, not sure 100% all the issues it had though, it needed a refinish too as for some reason the finish was going cloudy in a few places (I am sure Alan has found out why now though).
13. Report it to ebay, and definitely do not go through with paying.
14. A few on here who followed it will remember my old ebony ACG that I was getting made, but it got ruined in the post and is hanging on Alans wall at the moment I believe, Alan was awesome with a refund etc, but I think I really want the vision of my bass made in to reality, it was all about the choices of the woods and how they would look for me, so I am considering getting a luthier to make me a bass with the same woods that I wanted before, but am not sure who, anyone know a realish Shuker build time nowadays? Any lesser known American Luthiers to consider? This was the ACG before posting (not sure if many have seen these pictures actually), you can get what I mean about the choice of woods I made, and how I wanted the sections of the body......
15. I just sold my wenge necked BO4 Thumb for £450.
16. What is the bottom left one? That finish is amazing.
17. It's all a matter of opinion, so just try as many basses as possible if nothing is standing out already.
18. Can't say I can see the appeal either.
19. Was just messing around with my spector for a while then decided to have a go on the vigier, and even though the spector looks awesome, it's nothing compared to the Vigier when playing it!
20.
Couldnt resist, just bought an amberburst LX4 from Brum - think it was the last one. Been deliberating since news of the deal came through, fortunately it coincided with a little windfall. Spare cash and fantastic deal doesnt happen often! Cant wait! Dunc
That was their last one I phoned them on Sunday and they had that, but decided against it as I don't like the colour.
