1. Who said it had a graphite neck? Did I miss something?
2. I don't really see the big issue, loads of people buy things for cheap and sell them for more, in fact there are people here who do that constantly (eubassix, that david bloke who used to post on here and sells loads of ebay), and people aren't having a go at them. He clearly didn't misrepresent the bass.
3. There is a little tiny picture of you lot on the stamford mercury site, well I think it's you lot anyway, saw you all unpacking on Saturday as we drove out! 4. Not entirely sure about the cab yet, used it for a practice and for a festival, gonna try it some more and see if I can get a nice enough sound from it, it rattles though as the air seems to escape from the jack sockets on the back and makes them rattle, gonna try duct taping them up to see if that stops it. (I did tape it up by the way, but then discovered it was something at the practice room rattling behind it when the air was pushing it).
5. Mine is at my folks now, just got delivered, will pick it up on the way home from work, and post some pics later if I remember, then when I practice with it, I'll let you know what it sounds like properly.
6.
++ to procells. They work out to about £1 per pp3 and you just pick up boxes of them at electronic wholesalers or Ebay.
Yeah, same here!
7. I just ordered a ZBB112T, he said he has one in stock, and should send it tomorrow, may take it to the festival I am playing at the weekend!

9. Most the stuff was from Warmoth, I already had the preamp, and I got the pick-ups from ebay (America though again), not sure on total cost, but wasn't at all cheap especially when being hit by the import tax when it arrived, I gave up trying to work out what I paid when I realised that it was must be a lot, haha, could have got an American Fender Jazz instead for less I am sure, but that wouldn't have looked so stunning.
10. Been busy moving house, messing around with stupid rc cars and buying a new car recently, so not done much in regards of bass, but did put this together not long ago. Spec is.... Alder Body with Flame Maple top Special finish top with transparent brown back Goncalo Alves neck with Ebony fretboard Straight 10” radius 6150 frets White corian nut Gotoh 201 Bridge (black) Schaller BML Tuners (black) Schaller Straplocks (black) Seymour Duncan STC-2 Preamp (18 volt) Bartolini 9J1 L/S pickups It has a very deep sound to it, but doesn't get played much as I always use my Sandberg nowadays. Was immense fun putting it together though, enjoyed that a lot.
11.
And why, pray tell, are we being an idiot?
Not sure, why are you?
12.
Looks like a standard model with the relic option to me.
Relic doesn't make it custom shop, it's a standard option.
Not sure to be honest.....I guess the same difference as any customshop offering.....hand build, better attention to detail and so on. I had another four string "standard" PM and thia feels (and sounds) like a completely different instrument...it has a more solid feel to it...hard to explain how as it's a feel thing
I don't believe they have a custom shop, I think they are all built by the same people as I e-mailed them before, and their custom stuff is just the normal models changed a little bit.
13. I shall give this some thought! What is different from the normal spec about it to make it custom shop?
14. I sometimes regret starting to play instruments altogether, the amount I've spent on it, the annoying times in bands. I think I will have stopped by the time I reach my mid 30's.
15. I see no point in trying to give a figure, it's irrelevant because there are so many factors.
16. There is no way to set a percentage because of all the factors that would need to be taken into account, plus it all depends on the market of that particular item, things are worth what people will pay for them.
17. Yeah, I think the price is too high.
18. So you bought something on ebay, but they said they don't actually have them and then you paid the deposit?
19. I might give it a go in my tokai jazz then, if I can fit it all in!
20. Anyone know if Bartolini Jazz pickups are quiet enough to use with a preamp?
