1. I always cover my cabs up so the cat doesn't get to them, if you want to recover it's an easy job though, even I have done it before, and I'm proper lazy.
2. I've never bought from him and had it posted, although I dislike buying on ebay, mainly because of how people post things (like a bit of bubble wrap and an Engl valve combo!).
3. Bit boring, and not original, so the first time you see a video like that, it's quite good, but the 50 after aren't.
4. I tried to make a pedal one, but it didn't work, haha.
5. I've ordered loads from Thomann too, they never used to arrange for returns to be picked up, people say they do now, so you'd have to pay for it, and wait for a refund on postage, that would always be less then you paid because of the exchange rates.
6. Dolphin Music customer service is very very good in my experience, much better than Thomann's.
7. Kinda looks like the photo's are squashed!
8.
Anyone got one of these. they look ok.
Yeah, I have a P bass, and it is very high quality, I just don't like P basses too much, haha, but have had a few to compare it to.
9. http://line6.com/basspodxtpro/index.html?u...DxtPro+DropDown The Pro version has an unprocessed bass out and line level input for reamping.
Re-Amping Using the ANALOG REAMPING INPUT/OUTPUT connections, you can send a dry unprocessed guitar signal to your recording device and send it right back into the Bass PODXT Pro. Why is this so cool? Well, now you can go back at any time and change the entire sound of the track you recorded. How many times have you recorded a track where you wanted to just pull back the drive on a stompbox, try a different amp, or add a little more compression? Now you can! If you're really into experimenting with sounds, try sending other tracks like vocals, keys, or drum tracks through the Line Level Input jack! If you're really sneaky, you can also do this digitally with the AES/EBU, S/PDIF, or USB connections.
10. I own one now, and have owned another (which a mate now has), and have seen others in shops/people in bands playing them and haven't seen anything wrong with any, I am surprised they would let a bad one out, they seem like a very good company.
11. Get one of these instead....... http://search.ebay.co.uk/search/search.dll...=unbranded+bass
12. Actually, I googled, and found this http://www.gwbasses.com/
13.
GW "SC-1" built by Grandon Westlund.
That's very nice, who is that builder? Got a website? I may one day have something to add to this thread, it's been 8 months since I ordered my ACG.
14. I work in IT, I am thinking of giving up to work in McDonalds.
15. Nick Smith (person with tonnes of basses from Peterborough and posts as bassdoctor or something on here) said before to me that he was in a high paid IT job but gave that up to play bass full time.
16.
I think the poll may need explaining for thickies like me ;-)
I have no idea what it means either.
17. I love my Sandberg, I've not touched the other basses since I've got it.
18. That's a friend of mine selling that, sold and bought things from him before too, so it should be decent.
19. Matamp used to say they wouldn't make bass amps again, I tried asking once, I did have them make me a guitar amp though (GTV-TC), sounded nice enough, but not really as good as I wanted, so didn't have it long, saw it on ebay not long ago. To tell the truth, was never really happy with the whole process, when I spoke to them, it was like they didn't want to answer any questions etc, even when I ordered they seemed reluctant and annoyed that I wanted to order. But back to Orange, I have an orange guitar cab, and love it, it's amazing.
20. You need a poweramp to go with the POD which is a preamp. I think the Tapco J-800 looks good, thinking about getting one myself.
21. £150 collected, or + shipping, lowest price it will go, got a new guitar on the way and want to cut back to just that and my PRS (and one I've had a long time).
22.
Sorry, bit of a thick question here......when you say "patch it into the effects return" where do you plug the input from you Bass? Does it go into the POD or the Input on your Amp? Is one method better than the other? Thanks, Jim.
Into the POD.
