1. I got the refund for this last week at some point, I gave up and got a superfly from someone on here, which does the job, and is surprisingly much louder via one output (so 250 watts) then my old Warwick Profect 3.2 300 watt I had a while ago, obviously quieter then my old Little Mark and SWR750x though! It shall do for now, thinking about going abroad to work for a year, so purchases are stopping!
2. It's from this year, same finish etc as new Fender Japan (which is made by Tokai by large last I heard), they are rare now as Tokai are not meant to be making anymore Fender style stuff (since they actually make Fender).
3. No trades, trying to slim the collection, would just keep this if not!
4. Thinking about selling my Tokai, don't need 2 jazz basses, anyone interested? Around the £280 mark, comes with Fender bridge and pickup cover/thumbrest (although bridge cover is just sitting on it below and isn't attached at the moment, screws are just in the body at the moment)... Prefer collection from Peterborough, if I can find a box then shipping can be done (with neck off?), but easier for you to arrange so you can pick what insurance and who etc.
5. There is e-basses in Peterborough, which is further south then Shuker at least.
6. Very good condition, block inlays, 2 band eq, sunburst finish, I bought this just over a year ago as I sold most my basses (gave up playing for a while) and used it for a couple of shows, it plays awesome, much better then any mexican Fender I've played (and that's quite a few in shops over the years)..... £120 - collection from Peterborough preferred as there is no hardcase or gigbag, but will post if I have to at your cost, will probably take the neck off etc.
7. I ordered my ACG based on the same principle as you mentioned, any bass Alan builds should sound good, so I went completely for looks...
8. This thread seems to be people telling the bloke what their basses are!
9.
F##k me, character assasination or what?!!!! MA has NEVER professed to being the best bass player in the world and I doubt anyone would begrudge him a drink during a gig. But for someone to post a YT video under the headline 'DRUNK BASS SOLO' whilst said poster is (probably) serving at f##king McDonalds is a little sad. He's a showman. We know he can play better and we know other can play better.................... who cares!!! It's still Michael Anthony who will earn more in a month off the back of Jump than we can in a year!!!!! And to top it all, he's a really humble guy, if you read what is being said about the latest VH reunion. Also....... it's over ELEVEN years old this video.... original poster..... where have you been???? Jon bon Jovi was wearing Leather & Lace and Alec John Such was sticking his pout out so far it could've knocked out Ricky Hatton!! It's about the show!
Ooooooooooooooh get you!
10. I love my sandberg, I'm not a fan of P basses, but that does look very nice.
11. I know that it shortens the link for display, but how come when I click on ones others have posted it just tries to go to the link with the ..... in the middle that's been shortened, and therefore doesn't work?
12. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=280182253971
13. Someone message him and ask if he'll end the auction early, just to see if he explodes.
14.
..........If people call us Brits 'cos we're from Britain, what should we call the Chinese people?...That withstanding, I DO apologise for any offence caused...
Call them chinese maybe?
15. The jack socket on my sandberg is a bit dodgy, it's a barrel socket, which I've not came across before, it basically seems to lose contact when it wiggles around (technical term there), if it was a "normal" jack socket I would bend the contact part in to make sure it touched properly, I take it with the barrel socket I just need to replace it? Are they all the same size?
16.
yeah they are awesome!!
They're no Botch though!
17. Minus The Bear are a good band, my old Basis M 2000 died too mid gig!
18. You all take way way more then me, if I can borrow a cab (most of the time get told I have to anyway) then I will, so.... 1 x bass 1 x rucksack (leads, tuners, pedals etc) 1 x amp in laptop bag (soon to be amp in the rucksack too) If I have to take a cab, then just a 2x10.
19. I first gigged 3 months after starting to play bass, I pretty much started as a mate asked me to play in his band.
20.
Now you're talking, final sanding, fitting then set up. Bet you can't wait? YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED.
Yeah, looking forward to getting it, should be next month, so around 7 months in total.
21. Since you say signature bass, I guess that means that Shuker are making it as a standard model available to others after? Or is it just a normal custom?
