  1. I know and I have read this but thought I'd mention I've got a Big Twin 2 and I'm after a two10 or BB2 - if you're flexible after this time, and I'm local enough also for a short drive.
  2. Cheers Joe...! Ditto and LEM gone.
  3. Oh completely - the listing from bassdirect was not accurate I’d say, for weight and others indeed. I really love the neck not just the looks and tone but also the comfort… … depending on how all else moves I may have to withdraw it but available for now…!
  4. I am pretty sure it’s 40mm! I will triple confirm just in case. Ander.
  5. Cheers Paul, let me have a look!
  6. Ah indeed….! Just been going thru a lot personally, and the gigs are just not progressing where we want - on top I’m trying to drop down to London less and that’s where the boys are set so it’s all come together to beg me for a break…! … such a majestic board though. Keeping broadcast compressor and capo should do me good as a mini board to noodle around at home or do something out of the house too if I need to.
  7. £1600 to sort/hold before Saturday before it goes elsewhere. Taking a long break (maybe retiring!) from stages, I have bits and bobs to let go of. Could be teased with a Precision like a limelight, potentially bravewood, but I'm more a P man than a J so here goes - ridiculous neck, you've been warned!! From Jon Shuker himself: 4 string 34" scale 20 frets gentle c carve 5A master grade roasted flame maple neck (the fingerboard is separate but made from the same wood blank and then glued back on after the installation of….) two way truss rod carbon fibre reinforcement Schaller BM tuners bone nut Stainless steel jumbo fretwire Gloss polyurethane lacquer on board satin polyurethane on the back of the neck Abalone inlay dots Luminlay side markers Alder body usual forearm and ribcage contours reduced heel and recessed fixings polyester basecoat Light blue polyurethane topcoat, gloss Mint green scratchplate Chrome hardware Gotoh multi tonal bridge (19mm spacing) control plate Aguilar 70's pickups Shuker / hiscox logo hardcase The bass is from 2020 so very new - only the slightest buckle rash that is likely to be removed with some rubbing or cleaning product? BASS HAS BEEN SETUP AND FRETS CROWNED TO PERFECTION NOW THAT THE WOOD IS SETTLED. Selling it for a firm £1700, same as it cost me to have it as is (setup work and crowning was paid on top of the £1700). Notice this bass would be about £3400 to build today... 8. Thank you!!! It’s an amazing cab, I love it - it’s just I can do with smaller since I’ll be back to bedroom bassist for the foreseeable future!
  9. Pedalboard on sale too, Rockboard Tres 3.0, £65, couple months old too, with bag.
  10. Hi gang, Retiring from stage so 'downgrading' to a more modest rig. Impeccable Big Baby II Gen 3 for sale with soft padded gigbag from barefaced (the nice neoprene one) and no visible damage after inspection. Cash only sale.
  11. Hmmm! They now do these ‘max bore’ size that may fit in? Up now there’s 4 different sizes

I am using it in a punk trio where I do a breakup point clean and distortion sounds out of the Capo and route all the effects on the loops mostly. I'm also starting to venture into another band which is more grunge / hard rock on the same settings... ... I play mostly a passive Shuker bass on Daddario stainless steel strings, but my other basses are a Squier Classic Vibe on Chromes and a MM Stingray Special on nickel NYXL - I reckon I have to work a bit more on the Stingray tones by adjusting the EQ as it is more treble forward than the Shuker J with Aggies 70s. Killing the tweeter and/or reducing the Treble on the Capo seems to be a step in the right direction - I normally keep my Mesa head flat all the way everywhere...
  13. Since I’ve ran out of excuses, space, outputs and money to buy more pedals, I have decided to treat my board (more like treat myself!) to Barefoot buttons. I have chosen those Tallboys and different sizes/heights, which helps a lot to stomp on the upper row, now it’s a breeze and I don’t have to stomp with the tip of my foot. Different heights also help with narrow spacing between footswitches like my Mastro Valvola pedals. Also, they have transparent buttons if which I used where the LED is too close to the footswitch so that I can see thru the colour… bought them from thorpyfx if anyone’s interested (zero affiliation) since there’s no other distributors that I know of in the UK.
  14. Chris bought my power supply and gig bag - speedy communications and payment, no messing about and a great guy to deal with. Would most definitely deal with Chris again.

We may well be. Both versions have the OFF1 pedal too. Mind you, Joe copied me on the B&W profile picture, he may be the one with some actual talent, but I’m the B&W OG. Best, MrDinsdale.

Yep - it's pretty amazing, I have it set up as 2 gain stages from break up point to distortion, then fuzz on top with the OFF1. I could see it working beautifully too with one stage of gain and then OFF1 on low gain setup for the distortion, it'd work too. The Broadcast on the pre loop does sharpen it up and I do love it as a boost to squeeze the Capo yet more too...! It is pricey, but for my case (dodged taxes somehow ) it was as much as a King Tone Duellist (which I considered) but with the added DI post/pre and the post/pre loops... No brainer if you ask! PS: Just conscious the last page or so have clearly become 'The Joe & Ander Show' lol apologies! hopefully the impressions are useful to others
  17. Oh shoot! Thanks and apols, this can be closed!

I just took my board to a gig in Leicester without any other backline other than an old trace Elliot 1x15/12? house combo. I sent my post DI to the FOH, the output to the Effects Loop return of the Capo... Love the presence of this thing especially when combined with the Broadcast, extends the distortion range on B>A (my preferred setup to high gain) whilst keeping it thick and at point of breakup on side A. Very happy - I designed my board to have enough redundancy to not need to bring my Mesa WD800/BT2 for short/less relevant gigs. Worked an absolute treat!
  19. Stumbled across this… loved the saturated/distorted tones, giving me one-switch Capo vibes in terms of character. “Luckily” I’m sorted for pedals (he says…)
  20. Discontinued, some scratches and no box, amazing sounds with the three modes on the mini switch. I love it, think it's THE chorus but surplus to requirements as a more regular redwitch empress does the job for me. Very collectable as they're now discontinued, happy to hear offers? Absolutely zero need for any other pedals, but could be teased with a Korg/novation/arturia synth?
  21. As the title, coming from an original STINGRAY SPECIAL 4HH. New and original these things go at £80 these days talking from experience, so assuming that's fair.
