argh! I’m strapped for cash and have so many other bits to sort, but I’m not sure that I’ll hold out for much longer. Conversations with the JF team have been great too, and I feel like comp + c4 + Capo is as minimal and versatile as it gets. I play mostly neosoul/Motown and cranked up (metal'd up 😆) punk rock… C4 for textures, ala octave, synth lead, pads, chorusey stuff, and done.

Aha! I love the darkglass clank but my gripe with DG is that it eats bass from the EQ all the time, making it thinner sounding. the Lil Fella is better in that end but I’m still to find a distortion that does me the same fat thick bassy tone as my clean…
-
Also I'm quite liking this for a saturated tone, around 4:08 :

Well! I am back bringing some goodies - being the instagramslut™ I can be at times I took advantage of a post from Jad Freer's insta on 'DM us with any questions!' I have to say they were super nice and answered my questions... Mattia was happy for me to post this here: So in essence, yes it can do pretty high gain, not sure it gets to the level of Darkglass but still... It could well replace my current gain stage (Blackstone devices mosfet OD, woolly mammoth, lil fella) to purchase a Capo for similar sale value of those... and leave space in my mini board for a C4 synth to put on the effects loop. That and a compressor and you'd have a pretty mighty mini board eh? The links Mattia referred to: Not maxed out And this is 2:08, with gain at about 1-2pm on both A and B sides, potentially could work out for me squeezing it a bit more:

Hard to do so when I’ve all of youse seducing me with your gadgets!

oh. Uh oh. Gawd. Oh. It does have a good heavy grit eh…? Dang! The second tone sounds amazing for the type of distortion I like. Damn… I think I’m in trouble. It could even do fuzzy bit I can see from there…. how wide is it? Like an Alpha Omega/B7k kind of thing? this could potentially replace the woolly mammoth, Blackstone Mosfet and lil fella and almost pay itself that way……… Could do mini tuner, el capo and c4 synth (c4 would do chorus, octaver, filter and synthy lead stuff of course). HMMMMMM….!!!

FEELER: Seeing as my fav squeeze may be available to me again, and don't want to make the current owner wait more than I should, this gorgeous, tremendous P Bass is available. Nitro Finish, lake placid blue, covers on installed perfectly measured etc. Strung with Daddario Chromes. The step behind a CS Journeyman it's been called - CS 63 pickup, 1.75" nut - 4kg. If my other basses sell (MM SR Special Cruz Teal 4H, Fender AO Jazz 60s) I'll keep this. I could take cash my way in exchange for a nice P Bass, but especially a JMJ in blue.

Well! Loving this as you know, my top basses are the MM SR specials... Only selling as I have a chance to own back my beloved, identical 5 string version. Letting go of it at great price I think, it has a tiny bit of wear on the neck below fret 1 (usual from hangers - I can't feel them and I live in frets 1 to 5) and light pick use over the pick guard - super hard to capture, but the pictures have not been edited, even in person they're hard to find - no dings nor blemishes. No other issues anywhere else, if you see anything it's probably just a reflection of my watch/phone/etc. Comes cased in and I can post or hand over for a small drive from London / Northampton - original mint pick guard included. Under yellow light at night and with original pick guard:

I want to know more! I play neosoul and punk rock, im always in search of those 3 tones: Motown phat clean, SVT esque clean with a bit of hair, and full whack distortion ala Lil Fella / Darkglass b3k… it could replace a couple pedals, like the fore mentioned lil fella and Blackstone Mosfet overdrive…

Having a hell of a Friday morning here, thanks! haha loving it, coffee in hand, some decent lead tones.

Ciaran bought my Darkglass ADAM pedal - prompt comms and payment, no faffing about and very understanding when I needed an extra day to ship off from the agreed. Would most definitely recommend and deal with him again. Thanks @WHUFC BASS!

Haha! Yeah I’m enjoying it quite a lot. I’ll admit that what Ric lovers call ‘quirky’ features are nothing but design errors to me, but it’s comfortable, charming and sounds amazing! now hoping to close the can of worms… but I said what I said 🤣
