I can vouch for this beast - thanks to Mike! The Nomad is super organic, easy to dial... the clean blend is fundamental as I like a good fuzz that I can dial out and leave sizzle in the back without overtaking. it also stacks super nicely with the different clipping/diode options... I have only scratched the surface with mine but I do love it!! Ander.

Guess who's back! Thanks to @LukeFRC, @0175westwood29 and Admiral oh my Admiral @admiralchew This time this is for a metal project - I wanted distortion and fuzz and the chaps above were super helpful in steering me in the direction of what I needed and how... and well. I often add a modulation effect but I learnt that for now I don't need a compressor - In case I regret it, @tayste_2000 introduced me to the HX one (I've been in hiatus for some 5 months lol no idea of the new releases!). Now I have the gain stages I want, a preamp with pre/post loops I adore and a tuner/compressor/phaser/rotary/chorus/flanger and some few hundred more effects on the post loop 😀 I did not want to go with a HX Stomp etc as I wanted to keep these analog pedals after much research... this works mightily! I haven't had much of a chance to play with them all, but I am very, very happy to report they stack up super nicely and with even volumes etc - lovely. Wired with a Truetone CS6 underneath. Y'all are guilty for this, but thanks 👏 None more black:

Well… I think I’ve achieved bass pedal nirvana, steered by the Capo. None more black.

My first 'proper bass' and second bass ever, I've loved that thing with passion really... ... I do have pictures my wife took with a sad long face when I was packing it up to letting it go... Alas, I barely if at all have a need for a 5 stringer, I recall I was chasing for this beauty to get back to me for weeks and weeks and have sought it back for ages, tried to trace it etc etc. Again, bad timing, and awfully nostalgic about this, but I'm in the league of £1k basses and less which works for me now... and other life priorities! Ander.

Yep you can use it just the B channel but it’s a fuzzier less clear character, I love it best as B>A

I'd personally just hook up the HX stomp on the post effects loop - then anything else on the pre effects loop of the Capo, and the bass straight to input. That way you can take the unaltered clean bass DI out from the capo, and the processed one to from the other post DI, from Capo too.

I'll send you the bill @tayste_2000 🤣

Whoa….! I learnt so much today! Too much! Thanks @tayste_2000!

I knew NOTHING about that HX One...! Assuming Moose Nomad same size as MBD, and my harley benton tuner is smaller than the polytune I think... Things would be dangerously tight but..... but.....!!!

I live life dangerously 😂

Thanks Joe!! Good to know I'm not alone and you've the same compressor which is a really good one tbh! I'm only planning to use octave up from the fuzz so I think this is inviting me to swap a compressor for a chorus.... Ooopssie! Ander.

Right, I'm not going crazy! But the missus would if I do lol! Thanks for that comment, it does make sense - I don't find sound enhancing from comps since I've got the capo - I will try more thoroughly, but if not significant, I may well put the Comp on sale and get a chorus for that 😇

Quick question fellas: do you find yourself needing a compressor less and less since you've got the capo? Is there some natural compression going on in there? I use my compressor always as tone enhancer and not a limiter as my string/hands are fairly even and I use a pick most times, but I feel like my Lusithand Alma does less and less since I've got the Capo. I'm making a pedalboard with the Capo, tuner, distortion and fuzz (new MBD and Moose Nomad which are both on the bigger side), and I'm considering maybe a chorus would be best to fit in a Nano+. I just wanted to check how it goes for y'all since I was evaluating whether I need a compressor at all. No, I won't take the suggestion of 'get a bigger board' cause I end up with 4 more pedals to make it tight when all I may need is a chorus 😁 Ander.

That'll be me - I've been in a band a couple++ years, done some 50 gigs, recorded in studio in three occasions, done 3-4 videoclips and got signed by a small record label. Very, very conscious that the above is nothing to many of the talented folk here, but for me it was enough - I wanted to be in a punk rock trio where I'd learn to sing backing vocals and other bits, experience studio recording and be confident when going to stage and I did just that, so, in a way my heart is full. I was commuting down to London from Northants for rehearsals and 50% of gigs and it just got boring and annoying in the industry. Fantastic bandmates, good fun and great mates but tired of those 'sorry we can't pay you' gigs or feeling like we're begging for petrol, or having to promote gigs over and over and over. Great for those that think 'well that's what you should do/that's the industry', but clearly not for me. I may well have been a bit too hasty in moving most of my gear, but since summer I've only learnt 3-4 new songs and haven't grabbed the bass in about a month... Also note since July I was probably playing bass only for gigs or the odd rehearsal. Soooo... Keeping one bass, the Capo preamp and I do have a PA/Monitor I can plug both to if something comes up. Funny enough my wife is starting a new project - I started playing bass since she needed a bassist some 5 years ago, and I told her I was happy if she wanted me in this project or if she wanted to experiment with other bassists to broaden her experience working with other musos since she's already done stuff with me... I'm secretly happy that she chose the latter. God knows if I'll have appetite for stage or bands more local, but the planets need to align for the right project and all that - oh, and I need to be looking to find that, which I'm not I've got a little Harley Benton guitar on the way and a Nord keyboard at home that do have more chances of getting SOME playtime, but let's be honest, probs it'll be just some noodling whilst watching TV or a weekend where I want to do James Blake and James Dean chords on the Nord 😆 ... And, I'm at peace with all that.

Selling quick and wash, can’t complain and would most def recommend! Ander.

£270! This fantastic Sire Marcus Miller mild green is on for sale - I no longer play in bands/stage so I'm just keeping one bass and my Jad Freer Capo. No trades since I'm off stage. Comes with a Sandberg gigbag which as you know is very decent - this one is as new. Weight is great at 3.6/3.7kg if I remember well - no blemishes whatsoever, just a great P bass - you know how quick I jump to change electronics and whatnot but this one sincerely doesn't need it. Roasted maple, of course.
