  1. Great book, the cover is slightly worn. £7.50 + p+p which is probably about £2.50
  2. Morning, I'm in a classic rock covers band (Thin Lizzy, ACDC, The Who etc) at the moment and just wondering how long similar bands sets are? We total about 2 1/2 hours split over two sets with 13 tracks in the first and 15 in the second. How long are yours (if it's not too personal a question)? Thanks
  3. Morning, I've found a lovely Sandberg 48 for sale privately on FB marketplace. The seller is happy to courier at my expense (it's more than a few hundred miles away). What's the best way to organise the payment? I could simply do a bank transfer but then probably open myself to potential issues with being ripped off. I've done this in the past and it's all worked fine but the fact that I'm sending someone I don't know a grand makes me a bit twitchy. Any good ideas about how to go about this? Thanks in advance
  4. charts have counted since about 1988 if you ask me
  5. Evening all, Can anyone help to clarify? One of my band mates is telling me that the bass line for Rock and Roll changes pattern from the rest of the song at around the 2:56 to 3 minute mark. He says that the progression changes to the D early (i think it's bar 130). While I can hear the guitars doing this I can't hear the bass changing from the A to the D. To me the progression for the bass is the same all the way through. Maybe it's my hearing though. Any ideas?
  6. Evening, I've recently joined a new band and am trying to learn a load of new songs. I know all of the songs (to listen to) but am wondering what techniques, aside from simple repetition, that I can use to learn/remember them. Any ideas? what works for you lot?

    four on five

i'm tempted to do just that. Use the B as a rest

    four on five

Alright, might be a stupid question but here goes. Has anyone ever removed the B string and played a five as a four? I've found a few 5 string US Jazz basses in my price range but no 4 strings at the same price range.

    B1on query

great, i was aware that both pedals at one activated a tuner but if it's a bypass as well I'll use that. Many thanks....I'm off to finish a bottle of red!

    B1on query

Evening, It's probably a very easy question but here goes......I have a B1on and intend to use it in line with a Boss tuner and other pedals. My question is, can the B1 be used inline but turned off so i can use the other pedals? if so, how do i do this please? Any help gratefully appreciated for this new bass player.
