Mark bass run flat is a fantastic blank canvas to for specific basses and effects , a P bass to me just sounds perfect through a flat Mark bass rig
I concur. I find that it takes preamp pedals very nicely just straight into front of amp too.

This is my new version for 'in the house' noodling. The vox amplug thing is an amazing invention, so I'll probably be using that on its own most of the time, but for the times I fancy making some funny noises I can easily stick it on the end of this board. Paper thin walls mean I can't really use my amp at home so the amplug is a must.
This looks promising: https://m.thomann.de/gb/tech_21_bass_fly_rig.htm?o=27&ref=mm_a_27&search=1458488239 £300 feels more reasonable.
Definitely getting there. The more I think about this, the more I like it.

I had a pf350 which didn't blow me away and then broke. I also owned a lh500 which is a great amp. Mine did break but cost peanuts to fix. The lh500 is mega clean... Clinically. That might suit but might not. I loved it, and I reckon your two humbuckers will too.

My favourite so far is Dunlop max grip 1.14. Enough bend to feel nice, but enough control to stiffen up when held closer to the point.

B3 in the front for me. Always worked great.

I am currently going on a similar journey. Playing with pick for the first time in 17 years of playing. It has really renewed my interest in the instrument! I'm finding that I prefer bendier picks as I can get a better range with them. As in, I can hold it closer to the tip making it a little more rigid anyway. I hadn't played the bass in 2 months and for the past few weeks I've only played with a pick.... My right hand finger technique has totally gone! Just feels really weird! Really wished I looked at pick playing years ago.

I didn't realise they were discontinued. Pretty sure they come up here quite alot though. They were mega cheap not that long ago. This post helps you in no way. Sorry.

I have the HB2x10. Upgraded the speakers to light ones (kappalites i think). I thought the original speakers were a bit harsh to my ears. New speakers (which to be fair were more expensive thatn the original cab) makes the whole thing light and very nice sounding. 4ohm too. The actual construction seems pretty solid. Mine has been lobbed in and out of vans constantly for a few years now, no issues.

I quite like a compressed sound when practicing at home, or through headphones, but as soon as theres a bit of volume coming from the amp, I feel like theres just enough natural compression for it to feel good. I know alot of bassists that couldnt live without one. As elephant said though, its a tricky one to set up especially if you dont understand the theory behind them. I must admit, I dont fully understand them. I've done alright without them!
Current board... I use about 5 effects for a total of around 30 seconds throughout a 2 hour set so got the zoom and noose to cover that. MXR is next to get replaced, suggestions for a preamp with built in dirt as a second channel that doesn't scoop your mids as standard? If anyone is on the lookout for a cheap and cheerful power supply, I highly recommend the power plant from Thomann, total bargain at under £30.
Although I love my thomann power supply and my ms60b... I've found I need to use the double headed power socket. I use mine as a preamp, eq and noise gate which are akways on and after an hour it occasionally started to cut off and on. Im thinking it's to do with the juice not quite getting delivered. The doubler fixed this though

As an aside, can you plug these in whilst using them thus using it as a normal power supply? Or is it, once it's dead its dead? Not that the op is anywhere near dangerously low levels.. But I just think that's just one more thing to worry about at a gig, especially as you use it more and I'd assume it would start to hold less charge.
-
I did this with my ms60b with a mix of reverb and slow attack. Ok, not really a synth but worked love really well.
-
I suppose if you look at it compared to a seperates board, it may well be well priced. Considering you get a di and tuner. No need for a fancy power supply or cabling.. the price begins to look slightly more reasonable. .. however I think under 300 would have been more tempting. Anyone know how much the guitar ones were when they were released?

The b3 works like a chain of 3 stompboxes. So all 3 can be off and it still has throughput. i loved mine. What's your plan with it? Edit: just realised I've answered an entirely different question to what you asked. Sorry. 😂
$299 = £207 from Sweetwater. Anyone going to the States on holiday?
Yowzer... that's bordering on bargain city considering what you get in it. Shame the UK price is not even close. Alot of very useful functions on this thing. I would hazard a guess that a huge proprtion of pub/function gigs could be covered with this thing. Love it.
