Woah... I get stressed when the keys come through Saturday night and sometimes Sunday morning, but key changes on the fly 🙈 If I was a better playing it wouldn't bother me so much I guess.. but right now it does give me anxiety. Lol

Yea I thought the same thing about the pickguard... Maybe a clear perspex one would look good! I think the chrome would pick up lots of finger prints and you'd be forever cleaning it.
-
Yes, I also like it... Humbucker in the bridge and 18V pre... Nice! Deffo a disco machine, I like it better than Mono Neon Signature

Seems like they started off around €800 mark 2 to 3 years ago, they are now closer to €2k euros for a basic 4 string jazz bass.

Hi @phipschi, Did you have an opportunity to make some photos and review your experience as a rare Bite Bass owner? Cheers
-
Look forward to some intial photos and thoughts on this

This shape reminds me of a Yamaha TRBX but a bit flatter /non contoured top.

@phipschi Thanks a lot for you post, your bass looks really cool. I would very much like to hear a sound comparson. There is very little info out there regarding ownership or reviews. I am interested in the craftsmanship, neck pocket, fret work, neck feel, weight, balance etc. @Machines Indeed there are a several options between 1500 to 2000 euros... Sandberg, Maruszczyk being an obvious european made options. Then there is FGN which are very high quality Japanese made instruments as well as Lakeland models. Several of these brands would maintain reasonable resale value too. I also noted that compared to some of the promotional videos and other sources, the prices have increased dramatically, more or less doubled in the last 2 to 3 years, making a fairly basic P bass just under 2k Euros.

Thanks for this, I think I somehow missed this thread... I will have a good read. Cheers

Certainly seems like there are not many owners at all!!

Hey All, I was recently looking at BITE custom guitars from Austria, there are a few review videos online, but what I am looking for is owners medium/longterm experiences with the instruments. Many of the videos online are from bass players that you might call 'influencers' these days and they describe a bit the instrument but they don't go into much detail and don't provide any follow up review etc. So anyone here own a BITE bass?

Thanks 🙏 The pick up is Sandberg's own power split coil. Sounds fantastic in passive and active.

Hey All, Picked up my first Sandberg this weekend. 2008 California Heavy aged VS4.

I like the look of these, but honestly the pricing is quite a bit above HB offering of similar spec, ime JB-62C for example.. I'm interested to see if they are worth double a Harley Benton JB-62 or 50% more than the 35th anniversary edition. These basses retail around £350 give or take. Anyone took the plunge and bought one?

Thanks for the replies guys.

Already been down that route, only info they could give was a manufacturing date of 1976.

Anyone able to help identify these, they come from a 2X15 cab made by Roost back in the day. Can't seem to find any info on them.

I know my old church was basically using tripod mounted DSLR cameras for this.. worked well and really decent quality. Not as optimal as a PTZ camera, but it's another route.
