  1. I suppose finesse was the wring word, versatile would have been a better word.
  2. Ive got a Cort GB752JH 5 string (see pic) Its sounds ok tbh,but id like it to have a bit more finesse. But im not sure where to start ? Pickups,or Preamp,or both ? I'd have the pickups rewound by Catswhisker pickups (Highly recommend independent maker) rather trying to find something to fit in there. And then theres the preamp, Any suggestions on my current layout ? also i would like to add an active/passive switch to the system. Any thoughts, recommendations will be greatly welcomed.
  3. cort in for sale section..

Hello BaggyMan,Thanks for the heads up.

Unfortunately, its the 5 string version with the musicman pickup in the bridge im after.

And in Trans black. (Its not like im being particular, or anything 😂)

I missed one on here about a month or two ago.

It was a beaut, lovely flamed neck too.

      All the best,

  4. I know these two pedals are a "bit" outdated, but does anyone have any experience with either of them. I really fancy getting one to try out,but not sure which ? All the videos i watch on them seem very samey,in that they do the same thing. Am i missing something ? There are a few demos on YT that do not go anywhere. Just seems like they have no idea how they function. Just knob twiddling, with clearly no idea of what they are doing, really painful to watch. Or perhaps they aren't very versatile? Im looking for a pedal that does Overdrive,Fuzz, and octave fuzz in one pedal, that has a clean blend knob to. If you have any suggestions I'd really like to hear about them.
  5. The body too thin as it is. The removed the quilt top and is down about 4mm below that. The neck pocket is too shallow, the outline and all the round overs hacked. He must have done it when he was blotto.
  6. Its not I haven't thought of all the above its worst in real life that the photos. This only a 1/3 of the lumps and bumps. All the edges are misshaped and have lost they form. I bought it from the front picture. Its total wreck. The neck is perfect, its like new The bass had a red burst quilt maple front originally, the seller sent me a photo of what it looked like before I got it very cheap thinking i could transform it. Some of the ruts are 8/10mm deep. As it stands at the moment, its probably 4mm under thickness.
  7. Can someone build a bass body form me at a reasonable price. I have just bought a spector N5 unseen (except for photos which didnt show the horrors !!! ) I thought i could do it up,with a bit time and patience. As the original owner had scraped, burnt, and wire brushed, disc cuttered the body (i wasn't quite aware how much) It really is for the scrap heap. I have contacted a few well known after market body builders, and their prices are no what i expected at all. I want the body to be painted,so not particular about the type of wood,as long as its light weight. Many thanks
  8. Are you open to an offer on the Source Audio EQ ?
  9. Bought a Line 6 XT pro rack from Brendon this morning,we decided to meet up rather that use a courier. Great communications, lovely chap to deal with. We had a coffee, and a good old natter about gear (what else !) And Mike "Micheal" Oldfield (That waitress really threw us off the scent though 😂) I would whole heartedly recommend Brendon if you were buying,or selling any gear. Top bloke 🕊️ All the best, Steve
  10. Bought a 12 string guitar from Pete met up as he was playing a gig near me. Top chap, great communications,id can wholly recommend buying,or selling to pete. The guitar i bought is wonderful. Thanks again mate 👍🏼 Steve
