  1. He'd only had the Les Paul for 7 months, paid 2,800€ He won't be happy with a repair although yes, it would be fine. Chris Leduc would be able to fix it easily and yes, the arm stings like hell. Especially when the antiseptic spray goes on😆
  2. Managed to take a slice of flesh out of my left arm by falling onto a sharp dry wall rail. The red bit is actually missing. Thought l was having a bad day until the other pic arrived from our guitarist 😳
  3. No, I'm just about to advertise my OLP copy Stingray for £25,000.
  4. I say, "the only down-side" however, I had no idea until just now that my wife had taken a pic of the annoying pillock who'd found a tambourine hanging on the wall inside an decided to join in..sadly, in front of me😂
  5. Yes, it did feel a little weird. We'd managed one rehearsal two weeks ago and the singer's other band played a week ago so she'd had a chance to blow the dust off. Great seeing people turn up eager to listen to live music again. Felt really good to interact with great band mates again. Only down side was all that f@#$%*g equipment they insist on bringing😆 I just hope that enough venues will get to survive.
  6. There have been gigs in France since last week. We were booked for last Friday (26th) It was cancelled, but only due to impending bad weather.
  7. Started again, at 9.00pm Last night. (Friday) Just got in. Resaurant/bar gig, outside, about half as many as we usually pull in there so punters being hesitant. Went down well, got fed, got paid. Not back to normal, but it's a start.
  8. Mine has a wooden neck. Fab profile. Love it.
  9. It's a Status Energy. The 5 string one I have is 7lbs 8oz. The 4s even lighter. Wooden neck with graphite rods. Great active electronics, pick one up for £500 or less.
  10. These represent great value and probably have everything (ish) on your list. About the right price too.
  11. Well, it appears I'm back to gigging on 26th June. Usually an outdoor gig so hopefully the weather will hold up. Owner is not sure how many, if any will turn up. We usually pack it out but folks are hesitant so who knows?
  12. Looks like an Energy Artiste to me. Lovely bass that.
  13. It's a CB radio. Breaker break, one- four for a copy, over.
  14. A Mk1 Hamer Steve Stevens signature, an Ibanez Steve Lukather signature, a 1970 SG Junior, a 1975 Les Paul gold top, a 1976 Ltd edition Korina Gibson Explorer, an ex Jimmy Page Yamaha SG2000 and a Parker Fly and finally, a Fender Esprit Elite (Robben Ford shape) But no basses. Spookey😳
  15. Bars etc opening here in France as of tomorrow (Green regions) As the weather is usually good around now, the few we play are all capable of putting on gigs with plenty of outdoor space to adhere to distancing although, I'm not that keen until there is a vaccine available. We still have a few that weren't cancelled and just got offered another today for August but our drummer is on holiday. Sod's law. Haven't actually missed it as much as I thought I would.
  16. Tried, failed, gave up, so now, I say it's horrible (but still secretly wish I could do it) I would take a pretty safe guess that I'm not the only one like that on here.😉
  17. The band has recorded a number (Human) at our individual houses for a bit of lock down fun and now the guitarist wants us all to do an individual video of us playing it. I have a hankering to get my face to change to that of an android robot at the finish of mine so, any suggestions re software etc would be greatly appreciated. Preferably free software😂 Thanks
  18. Bob Geldof is starting to appear on TV, no doubt to advertise the very few Boomtown rats dates that could be remaining after the current problems possibly subside. If anyone has a face you want to punch, it's him. Even more so than Piers Morgan 😆 Okay, got that off my chest. Thanks.
  19. I guess it all depends on how keen you are to achieve a particular result and if you regularly have problems at certain venues achieving that particular result. I must admit, I am a bit of a "that'll do for tonight" kind of a guy. As long as it sounds okay to me (I check out front at sound checks to make sure I'm not too loud, quiet, toppy or boomy) and no-one complains about anything, I'm set. I had a Vigier Passion with the semi para mids years ago and did actually use the function on that but recent years have seen a change to more traditional and simple controls on instruments for me. Anyway, good luck on your quest.
  20. OLP Tony Levin sig 5 string. They come in orange. Great basses too.
  21. I have parametric EQ on my amp and have had it on an instrument and in all honesty, I don't think it's ever helped me achieve the sound I liked on the night. Not much help I know but if your interest is going to result in you spending money, I'd really think twice about it. Most modern active basses have 3 band EQ on board and I've found that sufficient.
  22. Right, I'm finally going off-piste and determined to nail Moondance, Mustang Sally and Sex on fire.
