Yes, very little online footprint, surprised Guitargutiar has picked them up? Don't see Thomann stocking them as yet. Tempted to order the headless direct from Malaysia but high risk if it turns out to be a piece of junk
-
Seriously, those prices are ridiculous!! I just wonder how they play? Slightly more expensive, but the headless looks brilliant
-
They honestly look too good to be true!

Just noticed guitargutiar is now stocking these basses. Anyone familiar with them? Love the look of the headless

Unlike other manufacturers, I don't ever read of Yamaha looking for customer feedback on future models. Shame, as they are such a large company it would be nice to see the range extended.
-
That Miki Santamaria custom model is stunning!!! If only they made it available to the public. If only
-
Totally agree, Yamaha could offer so much more. Never understood why the BB range is so limited to boring vanilla finishes. I remember some years ago they done a BB with a MM pickup and it sounded incredible.

Listed for sale, a custom Schecter Model T bass. ***Please read*** Bass has been fitted with new EMG passive pickups Fender High Mass Bridge Custom pickguard Currently missing control knobs so you will need to purchase these separately This is an exact replica of the bass used by Rober De Leo from the Stone temple pilots Please note, the only signs of wear or damage to the bass is on the reverse side where the previous owner repaired a chip by sanding back the finish. Also the headstock has a small chip. As seen in photo/video Website has weight listed as 4.3 kgs which feels about right. Free postage Item will be posted in hardcase Fitted with new Dunlop strings Item for sale in UK only No Returns https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/196039127717?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=6V5r_AIrQO2&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=6V5r_AIrQO2&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Thomann do offer a set up/check service at an additional cost. May be worth it to avoid that hassle of returning.
-
Yes, very good deals at thomann, but I would request they check the bass before shipping. I ended up with one that had to be sent back. Think I was very unlucky. Still on the fence about reordering.
-
Very much on the fence if these upgrades justify the price tag.

Do you think the AliExpress pickguards would fit a sadowsky metroexpress or are they sized for a fender jazz?
-
Picked up this Model T a few weeks ago and customised it. New EMG passive pickups, New Bridge, Custom pickguard. Still in the process of deciding if to keep or sell 😁
-
I picked up one last month (one of the older sunburst models) and it's a great bass with a very rich sound, however, it's not the lightest of basses so I may move on in the coming months
-
Sadowsky metroexpress, the first run, and the worst!
-
Just in the process of getting a standard nut and shaving it to fit. Sadly there are not nuts available to fit a sadowsky and gone right off the idea of buying a Warwick just a nut.
-
I have ripped out the nut and now looking for a standard replacement nut
-
Yep, this is the lowest setting it can go.
-
After feedback on this site, the Warwick just a nut is the issue as it's not been installed by the factory correctly. The just a nut should sit flush with the bottom piece of the nut which it does not. Hard to explain, but there shouldn't be a gap as seen in the photos. On a separate note, the strings were loosened to take a closer look at the nut.
-
Apart from the Warwick just a nut is there a standard sized bass nut that would fit a sadowsky jazz ?
