  1. Very much on the fence if these upgrades justify the price tag.
  2. That's a terrible set-up from a customer perspective
  3. That would look ace with a chrome control plate! Wonder if this is something that could be purchased separately?
  4. Do you think the AliExpress pickguards would fit a sadowsky metroexpress or are they sized for a fender jazz?
  5. Picked up this Model T a few weeks ago and customised it. New EMG passive pickups, New Bridge, Custom pickguard. Still in the process of deciding if to keep or sell 😁
  6. I picked up one last month (one of the older sunburst models) and it's a great bass with a very rich sound, however, it's not the lightest of basses so I may move on in the coming months
  7. Sadowsky metroexpress, the first run, and the worst!
  8. Just in the process of getting a standard nut and shaving it to fit. Sadly there are not nuts available to fit a sadowsky and gone right off the idea of buying a Warwick just a nut.
  9. I have ripped out the nut and now looking for a standard replacement nut
  10. Yep, this is the lowest setting it can go.
  11. After feedback on this site, the Warwick just a nut is the issue as it's not been installed by the factory correctly. The just a nut should sit flush with the bottom piece of the nut which it does not. Hard to explain, but there shouldn't be a gap as seen in the photos. On a separate note, the strings were loosened to take a closer look at the nut.
  12. Apart from the Warwick just a nut is there a standard sized bass nut that would fit a sadowsky jazz ?
  13. Seems to be completely flat. Think a standard nut is a better option but struggling to find one that would fit a sadowsky jazz
  14. That's the but removed, now to find a standard nut that will fit
  15. Glued in. Think I will rip it out and just buy a standard nut. Well, one that will fit. Honestly, depending on your luck these sadowsky metroexpress basses are a nightmare
  16. It's rather odd. When the top piece is inserted into the bottom slot and with the turning screws fully out, the nut sits quite high?
  17. Think I will just locate a standard nut that fits a sadowsky metroexpress bass. No idea why it sits so high?
  18. Posted this on another thread, but the lowest setting on the just a nut still sits quite high. Does this look correct? I would assume it could be adjusted to sit flat but this is not the case
  19. As you can see at it's lowest setting, the Warwick Just a Nut sits very high! Is this correct?
  20. Few more photos
  21. Based in Scotland, just outside Glasgow. May locate a workshop to have a professional look πŸ‘
  22. So would buying one of these resolve the issue? https://www.stewmac.com/tonewoods/shop-tonewood-by-instrument/electric-bass-bodies-and-necks-and-wood/bass-necks/stewmac-neck-shims-for-bass/?&pref_currency=GBP&shipcalc=UK&mtm_source=google&mtm_medium=cpc&mtm_campaign=|+GOO+|+SHOP+|+BR+|+BrandUK&gad=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwsKqoBhBPEiwALrrqiAqKlPZ9WYVmaU-_-ya0RvNVcWNtVm4G5gwg0600zb8qRWuiAnUarxoCfEMQAvD_BwE How does this happen on a new bass? Never came across this issue before
  23. I know it's very hard to see from the photos, but the strings on my newly equired bass are sitting VERY high from the fretboard. The bridge saddles are set as low as they can go so I'm assuming it's a truss rod issue. If it helps, I would say the neck is sitting at a more forward angle (if that makes sense?) I have limited knowledge on set ups, but before sending to a shop, I'm wondering if there is an easier option to correct it myself? I'm always very nervous about truss rod adjustments
  24. I ordered from thomann and got one of the early ones. Absolute messπŸ˜† guess it's your luck which one they send out.
  25. I'm interested in the price of the new 2023 range. Yes, improvements have been made (minimal as far as I can see) but if they come in at Β£800+ forget about it πŸ˜†
